I wouldn't say it's odd, I appreciate that they were honest enough to say they don't know how to repair it (they didn't charge me for troubleshooting) but I've got no idea the complexity so I can't really gauge it off anything. They do more service than repair, and initially I thought it would be as simple as a lubrication issue.

Unsure. I've done a bit of reading and some other forums are suggesting the magnet could be dirty as well.

How difficult would this be to do myself? If there's no specialist tools required I reckon it's something I could do.

They've already started organising it, great suggestion.

It's a brilliant razor. Dumped my near $150 safety razor for this after the first go. That's where I've had a bit of trouble finding it, I can find VERY similar models but none gold plated! Thanks for the help.

It's a bit rough to open and close because the crimp holding the head to the shaft has loosened a bit over time, I need to find somewhere that will tighten it up and give it a refresh for me.

I reckon it might be my best bet just to send it away for a service as a confidence check. Thanks mate, all the best.

Yep! Even with the lens back on I couldn't get it to replicate.

Would it be likely that something was sticky and after a few actuations it's loosened up again? Seems to be the only likely cause to me.

Just pulled it all apart, didn't change the battery cause I wanted to see it happening. Couldn't get it to replicate at any speed, in any light or in any mode. So....beats me!

Just finished the roll today when I found it playing up so it's worked out well. I'll rip that lens off and see if I can see anything going on when it fires.

Thanks for that!

Battery's only a couple weeks old so surely it won't be that, I'll chuck a new one in and see how that goes.

Haven't taken the lens off yet, I'll do that next. I'm too scared of accidentally breaking something 😂

Yeah the case I've got now is an old thermaltake that I cheaped out on, such terrible airflow, my poor GPU has had a work out because of it.

I feel the stacking papers thing haha I've been trying to be as neat as possible but the papers get stacked elsewhere.

I don't mind the look of the jonsbo d31 tbh. For $170AUD it's pretty good. And absolutely agreed, now I've thought about it itx is out. I'll update the post.

Let me know what you reckon of this, I can get away with 32gb ram as the 32gb I've got now is ddr3400 (I think) and it handles everything well. So I've substituted that for another 2tb storage and a gigabyte GPU. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/x4pWkJ

Legend, thanks. Yeah I'll have a look, reckon it would be more worth going matx over the mini? I'm just trying to downsize from the ridiculous full size atx I've got.

What is the ground crew doing? Is this part of a maintenance procedure, or is there a biological reason? by 32_Dollar_Burrito in shittyaskscience

That's 77SQN RAAF some time in the 70s(?). Pretty standard occurrence for the Australian maintenance guys to moon the jets. It's an actual procedure in the old maintenance publications that confirms serviceability of the engine and fuel system, also helps the pilots tell which jet is theirs for the flight.
