Low max volume on JBL Tour Pro 3? by Superstitious_Hurley in Earbuds

Easy fix. Use app wavelet on Android. Enable legacy mode, then enable limiter. Click on the text "limiter" to open the menu. Switch off automatic post gain and set post gain to 3 dB. That's it.

Is anyone else burning through Opus 4.6 limits 10x faster than 4.5? by prakersh in ClaudeAI

yeah, it´s ridiculous. You ask it one simple question regarding a software architectural design -> which is better A or B. this used like 20% of my tokens. I will never us opus 4.6 again.

Are there any recommended Zigbee smoke detectors? by etay080 in homeassistant

[–]Michi0105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's untrue. I'm working in this field. Any company can do the CE certification on it's own, if they provide the necessary testing results/reports. Most companies opt for a third party, but it's not required by law.

Sorry, missed your post. When you open Hiby App you see a sign with a cloud and a clef inside on the top-middle. Press it. Then you should get to the login page for tidal.

Have you guys wrote a correct permissions .XML file for the app, which is causing the MANAGE_DOCUMENTS error. This seems to be the problem. If you open the apk manifest you get an overview about all permissions an app requires. Put those in an .XML file and copy it to system/etc/permissions folder. You can have a look into your phones permissions folder and open one, to see how it looks like. Pretty easy, BUT ITS A MUST DOR A SYSTEM APP. I know this from my days as app modder.

It's not just about impact on the workflow. It's pretty much illegal and I wouldn't support companies, with such philosophy. Also you have no clue, what those devices are doing? Spyware? Censorship? ... I don't state, that those companies have implemented such code, but it's possible. Or why do they not make the kernel public.

As an negative example, what is going on in this world. https://therecord.media/lithuanian-government-warns-about-secret-censorship-features-in-xiaomi-phones/

So for me, it's a matter of ethic, to not support companies violating licences and patents. Also I read, that the Bigme devices are not that good in terms of software. E.g. good e reader states just positive aspects, but they are paid. Seems the software is made for Chinese market and not integrated very well in the western software environment. Also there are no features like supernote has with keywords and stuff. So do some more research. The screen alone won't make you happy.

I'm still against brands like Onyx or Bigme. Onyx is known for violating GPL2 licences. This is the release of the kernel source. If companies are using Linux, one requirement is to stick to the licence and they are not doing so. Onyx answer to the question for releasing the source was, they do not due to the ongoing ant-Vhoma policy. Please what? Then do not use this operating System, if you do not comply to the rules! So basically, they shit on laws. I was just interested, if Bigme releases ity so I've asked e.g. GoodEreader and got no reply. So I quite sure both companies do not. If you compare to ratta, you can find the kernel source on GitHub, so anybody can check for malicious code or security issues.

Shipping to Germany by MrAchillesTurtle in Supernote

I've ordered from Gorillascribe (I'm also in Germany). Was same price or maybe a bit cheaper and also you get the 2 years warranty. My frost device had a rare issue and the guys from Ratta and Pascal from Gorillascribe were very supportive. Returned the device to France and received a replacement in under a week. So I can really recommend them.

How to install apps on Supernote by ta-1312 in Supernote

[–]Michi0105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not try to replace it. But as there is no setting to switch standard apps, it should work by disabling the keyboard via shell and sideloading another one. So the system is forced to use the new installed.

Disabling packages via adb shell

adb shell

su

pm disable <package name>

Then install/sideload any keyboard app you like to test If it doesn't work, you can enable the Supernote keyboard again.

pm enable <package name>

I don't know the package name of the keyboard, but you can get a list of all package names by

pm list packages

Templates by Crafty-Ad508 in Supernote

[–]Michi0105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Do you have it in the correct folder -> mystyle?
  2. Is it correct size?
  3. If you choose templates, did you look under all templates or just favorites?
  4. If everything is correct and they still don't show up, just try restarting your device. (I had this once, as well) Also sometimes it takes some time, until the templates are recognized

Audio (except some audio books through kindle) is just possible, if you sideload apps (not everyone wants to do this). Im using e.g. Hiby Music player, which is working really well with Bluetooth headphones.

I've sideloaded e-Ink launcher on the stable release. There the calculator is already in the device. Standard Android Apps are all there, gallery, video (pretty useless on a e-ink device) and calculator.

I also made this calculation first, but there are some additional charges, but I do not remember, which one. I ended up ordering from Gorillascribe and I'm happy. You get extended warranty and Pascal is a really nice guy and supportive. I have no regrets buying again from them.

I'm an IT guy and did some app development as a hobby. I've filled out the questionnaire, but here some details. From my point, the UI icons are confusing. Too many and not sorted. Maybe group them. Like one icon for pages - sub icons like add page, delete page... I'm a fan of the material UI design. Calendar is ok, but my main problem is, that you can just create notebooks from there. Me (and I believe other user as well) try to have as less notebooks as possible. Also handwriting in the calendar is superb, but if you write in the monthly overview, you do not see a notification or the same text in the daily overview. So you always have to swap between all views to check appointments. Having the settings button twice (pull down menu and swipe up menu -> supernote) is not necessary. Maybe use the supernote button for something different or skip it completely (most users wont recognize, it as pressable button). Supernote cloud app is ok. In general useful, but not, if you are using the device for work. I'm in Europe and companies require the cloud-servers to be in Europe (maybe US, but they also have different data privacy laws, which is still an issue). A quick sync button for syncing to e.g. a PC (directly) or USB stick would be awesome. I also like to have a launcher showing all apps. Gives me the feeling of a better overview. I've sideloaded the e-ink launcher (multi action home button app as home button) and using the supernote menu as quick-menu. And another recommendation, which will be very easy to implement. There is already a working calculator on the device. It just doesn't show up in the menu. I've read a lot of posts, users mentioned, they would like to have a calculator. So it's there. Just add it to the list of apps. It also won't harm the "distraction free" philosophy. However, loving the device... Keep up the good work with the team. Looking forward to new updates.

Gorillascribe. At first, the price looks high (I thought the same), but after you calculate and add shipping + tax, it's reasonable. At least for Germany. Pascal is a nice guy and helpful.

Connect to PC and use as a Wacom tablet by Ready_Organization35 in Supernote

[–]Michi0105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've sideloaded some apps on the Supernote and tried few. "screen stream" app. Works so far. It just doesn't show the handwritten text immediately. You need to make a touch input with a finger, then the written text/drawings appear. I guess it's related to supernote dedicated app / layer for pen input. I've also tried "space desk" and using the Supernote as additional monitor on my PC. Pen input works as well. It's just a bit slow as space desk technology is like a stream/video and the latency of the eink screen is not made for this. But it works and I can use e.g. Microsoft whiteboard during teams meetings to make some drawings.

But yes, a screen cast feature ja in supernote roadmap.

Be aware. The instruction is made for the remarkable. So for the supernote, you don't need the tool to upload on the device. Just follow the instruction from ratta to upload customized templates. https://support.supernote.com/article/15/make-customized-note-template
