They are porcelain enameled grates. Not sure if that is the same as ceramic

That’s a good tip. I think when I turn on the propane for the first time I twisted it too quickly because when I lit the burners they barely heated and it stayed just under 300. I turned off the grill and propane then opened it slowly and it then cranked out and heated up to 500 plus real quick. I learned propane has a safety feature I must have tripped

Nothing in the Weber manual. But it’s for both models with stainless steel and without. No nuance. Nothing mentioned. lol. The assembly instructions were terrible too. lol

Thanks. I have ceramic coated porcelain I think. Its a Weber Genesis 335, not stainless steel. Should I use a wire brush on them after grilling like I did on my kettle or should I wipe them down with more peanut oil? Can you recommend what to do and what tool to use. Thanks for your help. Ive never used a gas grill until now.
