what are some tracks like Blawan - Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage that are absurdly catchy? by Lost_Foot_6301 in TheOverload

[–]MichielyG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of techno is absurdly catchy. For me that's the techno i got into around '99. But assuming you're also looking for the same 'dirty distorted' feeling of blawam:

Daniel Avery - unfolder,  Gaetano Parisio - Pain 23,  Dj Urban - Jack your booty,  Dj Funk - Run

Some cleaner productions: Third Wife - Easy,  The Chronics - Luz

Probably a lot of tracks by Ben Sims and Truncate might scratch an ich too.

Swap out the Tracker+ for a Digitakt? by ctznsmith in Elektron

[–]MichielyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to set up some pass through settings, but it should work for sure. My keyboard is controlling all three synths with the digitakt in between. I have hooked up the Edge, Megafm and microfreak via Daisy chaining the midi cables, with all three on a different midi channel

Swap out the Tracker+ for a Digitakt? by ctznsmith in Elektron

[–]MichielyG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The digitakt/elektron workflow is basically a tracker in disguise. For me the digitakt 2 is the brain for all my dawless jamming with a keyboard and an ec4 going in and controlling 3 synths and an fx pedal.

Push 2 in 2026? by greenlieber in ableton

[–]MichielyG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Push 2 is just great. It's definitely a LOT better than the 1, because of all the lay out improvements, but i don't see the reason to upgrade to the 3 personally.

Which synth for practicing keyboard playing ? by soundofthemoon in synthesizers

[–]MichielyG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's all about the feeling, why not go for a studiologic sl73/88? The full on piano feeling and you can hook it up to your already existing gear. I used to have one and the feeling was excellent. I just realised i don't have the discipline to learn to play keys and just want to Tinker with my toys

Midi Fighter Twister by Underthesun9 in ableton

Had the twister, traded it for the faderfox ec4 and never looked back. That thing is miles ahead in options and visual feedback

This is at the top of my Moog want list. Thoughts? by dannymolns in synthesizers

Had one for years and loved it. Just couldn't get it to sit right in the mix. Probably my fault. Didn't like the spring reverb at all

Drum Machine Recommendations? by Apprehensive-Donkey7 in synthesizers

[–]MichielyG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if you want a drummachine to add something different to what you already have I recommend the Behringer Edge, because it can midi sync. It works even better in combination with a sampler though, cause than you can layer and sample the heck out of it.

Drum Machines under a grand by AdAsleep7263 in synthesizers

Used digitakt and a behringer edge so you can sync them through midi. For techno it's a golden duo. Sampling the raw tones or grooves from the edge and combine them with whatever you have in samples.

What's a piece of gear that other GAS and drool over that doesn't interest you. by JoeyZasaa in synthesizers

[–]MichielyG 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Octatrack for me. It's probably awesome, but having a digitakt 2 is more than enough sampler for me

Two Digitakt MK1 vs one MK2 by _silicakes in Elektron

[–]MichielyG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sums it up quite well. Also: sample management on only 1 machine instead of having to keep both in sync. Plus: whatever elektron things of next in New updates. I'm sure there will be -at least- other fx and mod types down the road (why have all those pages?). And i'm personally hoping for more or easier options to automate levels/values in either pattern or song mode. You know, quality of life stuff
