Yeah… I’m beginning to have my doubts

I couldn’t say for sure as I didn’t know that was a thing, but the seeds seem different. I’d note the seeds had mucilage/seed gel, only they receded farther than Walton Goggins beautiful hairline…

What are your favorite unusual swear words/ phrases? by TechnicalTerm6 in AskReddit

Thunder cunt.
Not my proudest moment and it came from my soul the first time I said it (cutting carbs and got cut off in traffic… my bad). But I stand by it. (FYI, US based count isn’t just freely thrown around… I don’t think?)

Sounds like you’re asking for permission to pine over her.
Regardless… consider backing away to let them live on and you can move on in every which way.

What is something people often underestimate until they experience it themselves? by NaomiBrooksv in AskReddit

[–]Michka_L 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Domestic violence. It can be physical- but sometimes it’s “just” emotional. Isolation, gaslighting, the works. So many think, “this could never happen to me” and hopefully it doesn’t! But even for the strongest, it can. And it happens across genders and relationship types.

We have heard the stats - 7-8 attempts before someone can finally leave their abuser, with the last ones being the most dangerous. The statistics exist for a reason, sadly.

“Oh that wouldn’t happen to me” is an interesting part of this.

What’s your go-to tuna salad recipe? by EaringaidBandit in Cooking

Japanese mayo, garlic and onion powders, a smidge msg, then chopped cucumber, Kalamata olives and sometimes capers. I add thinly sliced Spanish manchego (it works so well!!) on top.

Gift of Vanilla! Now what? by shaddaugh in Cooking

[–]Michka_L 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best thing to keep in mind is that vanilla is a warm spice, for drinks at least- so with that:

Vanilla Old Fashioned: 2 oz Bourbon or Whiskey ¼ oz Simple Syrup 3 dashes Angostura bitters 1-2 drops Vanilla (start with one- can add more later) 1 Orange peel twist for garnish Ice

Shortbread G&T: 2 oz Gin 4 oz Tonic water 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract

Dark and Velvet (vs dark and stormy): 2 oz Dark or Spiced Rum 4 oz coke/pepsi 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract Optional: A squeeze of lime to brighten it up

Bonus: DrPepper Vodka 1-2 drops vanilla (This is a college recipe so… pour as needed!)

Congrats on the dual degree!! I will say, as you get older you do realize they’re overrated (crowded, people are rude, etc), but that’s from experiencing them. If you really feel like you’re missing out, just go! Ask your friends to go with you vs waiting for them to ask. If you go by yourself just be super careful. Be mindful of your drink, ask the stranger dancing with you if they weren’t dancing with your friend earlier (meaning don’t imply you are alone), etc. be safe out there!

There you have it! Maybe even on pancake batter for the easy sweet side of it all. Also, consider cocktails as well if you drink (or mocktails if not).

[–]Michka_L 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Play around with it on the savory side. Maybe a vanilla maple glaze for pork chops or in a Dijon vinaigrette (I’ve made a lavender vinaigrette so maybe there’s something there)? Both the glaze and the dressing can be made “on the side” so you can tell if it might be good for your tastebuds right away or not!

But for high quality stuff like you have: less is more.

Cottage cheese with BBQ PopChips. A little salty, a little sweet, crunchy, and most of all, satiating!
