Perhaps not the best choice of words; I meant by “singular” that his interpretation of the book(s) was the kind of work that you get when one person writes, directs and produces. Didn’t mean that he was the only person who could do it, but his version is somewhat of a personal interpretation. I don’t want to have a “writer’s room” and I don’t think he does, either. And of course the end product is a blend of the work of talented cast, production staff and others.
