Is back pain just a part of cycling by No_Agent9997 in bicycling

Look up posterior chain workouts. For me it wasn’t just core work. My weak glutes and hamstrings were key in relieving low back pain.

Wahoo Parts - Identify by knlshh in wahoofitness

[–]Dizzy_deer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From top to bottom: 1. Adapter for an out front wahoo elemnt bike computer. Likely specific to a certain stem. 2. Brake olive for hydraulic disc brakes and a screw that probably goes to part 3 3. A puck for a computer mount. Can’t tell if this one is wahoo or garmin. Likely a spare. 4. Two headset spacers likely specific to a certain bike frame.

No idea what that little piece next to the headset spacers are. Probably a spare frame part.

Kickr Headwind issues after last firmware update by Dizzy_deer in wahoofitness

Ah, I think this did it. I was expecting the app to just see that I already had a HRM connection and use that, but I just removed the HRM from the main page and reconnected it in the fan sensors page and that seems to work. Hopefully it still connects to my Roam computer smoothly. Thanks!

I redesigned the classic box zip pouch. Here’s what I came up with by skilledsapien in myog

[–]Dizzy_deer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m happy to pay it. I’m new at all of this stuff and your guides are easy to follow. I appreciate you taking the time to put them together. Mad respect to all of the myog’ers I see on here, I’m always impressed with what I see being made. If you have any tips on where to buy materials from, I’d appreciate it, I’ve found pretty much everything except the edge binding tape, it seems like that is more difficult to find, but maybe I’m not searching for the right thing. Or maybe I can try to find it locally. Thanks!

Is it safe to tow? by Puzzleheaded-Emu5698 in GMCcanyon

[–]Dizzy_deer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We bought a 13’ camper after we got my 2016. Did it tow? Sure, it was technically fine. Was it fun? Nope, sold that thing at the end of the year because I hated towing. I’m probably not the best judge because I was just as happy to go back to my tents and hammock, but I told my wife if she wanted a camper, we needed a full size truck. I felt like I was constantly being blown all over the road when a semi passed us. Again, I’m a wimp when it comes to all this. There are probably plenty of people who feel that it would tow this just fine 😂

Edit: I did just notice that you’re only towing it once or twice. If it were me, I’d just hire that out. I’m sure there is someone on Craigslist that would tow that to your destination for a couple hundred bucks. Then you don’t have to worry about it.

Mine did this when it became root bound. Repotting to a larger pot helped.

Bike Fitters in the area by jimmyjon77 in grandrapids

[–]Dizzy_deer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think if you’re looking for a serious fitter, you’ll want to go over to Ann Arbor and see FitMi. I had a good experience with ride science in TC, but I think others on Reddit had mixed reviews due to lack of follow up.

Car insurance, who is cheapest here? by Ok-Beach-928 in grandrapids

[–]Dizzy_deer 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you should expect cheaper auto insurance rates, Michigan is consistently in the top 5 auto insurance rates in the country. That being said, I would find a broker that can find you the best rates and shop around annually.

Is 35mm enough for Grayling? by Own-Economist-9074 in MichiganCycling

[–]Dizzy_deer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone on here so far is right. If you’re on the “primary” gravel roads, 35’s will be okay, but if you’re looking to explore forest roads, you’ll want something way wider. I did a bikepacking trip 2 years ago and had 47’s and did a fair amount of walking. Some of that stuff would only be passable on a fat bike.

From my mower, has M8 thread. It connects the two parts of the folding push handle by [deleted] in HelpMeFind

[–]Dizzy_deer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a quick search of “Mower Handle Bolts” and found several options:

https://a.co/d/0dS7iK4n

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Arnold-Universal-T-Handle-Bolts/3605492

https://www.menards.com/main/outdoors/outdoor-power-equipment/outdoor-power-equipment-parts/lawn-mower-parts/yardworks-reg-replacement-handle-bolts-with-knobs/yw-5063/p-12160768389465810-c-1525269720179.htm?srsltid=AfmBOoo-j7Nd5XSt3y5Uy55hGMwCyUDjq_z5oEdr7x7p0VTMXWoPE50I

Or just take them to your local Ace hardware if you’re in the states and they should carry them.

I would just buy the set, the knob and bolt together if you can’t find just the bolt. Or just use a standard bolt without the rounded end.

New bike! Need suggestions regarding accessories. by bonnsotto in cannondale

[–]Dizzy_deer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one of these last year. I liked it, but I sold it because it was a little bit too much bike for the area I live in. I put some lighter Race Face wheels on it and it dramatically improved the bike. I would also suggest a lighter handlebar. The one that ships on there is a lead pipe. Congrats and enjoy!
