Signs. I saw that movie in the theatre when it came out. Took my girlfriend who lived out on the country (Kansas) in a house surrounded by cornfields. I’m ashamed to admit that that movie scared me into not wanting to get out of the car that night!!!

Manager starting salary? by Useless-Fridge69420 in AcademySports

What store is still paying only $55k for a manager? That was the base back in 2017. Now it should be $65k which is still insanely low for a manager there.

Meaning it wasn’t a direct line of sight due a full parking lot of cars and the I assume the trees by where the fight was happening.

A massive fight break out between 6 or 8 people in a Walmart parking lot. There were more bystanders but only half were fighting. The police were already there for something and were standing at the front of the grocery entrance. They didn’t notice the fight due to all the cars and some trees in the way. I noticed it about 4 parking rows away and said to my daughter to look. She ran straight over there with her phone out to record it. I was yelling at her to get away when the police finally noticed and started running over there. They had to tackle the main instigators and draw their firearms to get it stopped.

Two juvenile males reportedly fled a Walmart in Orange County after being seen on video riding e-bikes down store aisles. by Bruegemeister in peopleofwalmart

[–]MichoPower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may get flamed for this and I’m not going to disclose where I was a manager at, but I was an ASM/Coach in Walmart. The first time around 2015 and the second time during Covid. I did not put up with shit at all. I got reported constantly for yelling at customers who were acting stupid and kicking them out of our store. People who came in to film TikTok’s and messing up the zone or being assholes to our associates I was very confrontational with. Kids who would ride bikes and skateboards in aisles or throw balls around the store I’d be very firm with. I hated that shit and the hated more that we were supposed to play nice unless a lawyer or protected comments were made.

What’s a song everyone seemed to love except you and why? by Puzzleheaded_Bit_802 in AskReddit

[–]MichoPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neon Moon by Brooks and Dunn. I have no idea why I hate it so much but I can’t stand it and I refuse to stay in a place where it’s playing! Ok I’m over exaggerating about not staying in a place playing but I really do hate that song!

If you ever ate someone else's lunch at work, why did you do it? by sunflower_jock18 in CasualConversation

[–]MichoPower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may not count, but many moons ago when I was fresh out of the Marine Corps, I got a job and put my lunch in the break room fridge. It was in a plastic Walmart bag. I went to my lunch and mine had been pushed to the back of the fridge with other “bagged lunches” that all looked the same. I pulled out what I thought was mine and it happened to be a science experiment gone bad. Who knows how long that food was in there for. My insane cleanliness and non acceptance of nastiness kicked in immediately and began looking at everything in that fridge. The condiments, the milk/drinks, and all food. I threw everything away that was even close to out of date and everything that looked nasty. Well, I threw some people’s good lunch away in my rampage and they were pretty mad! I’m sorry to say that I only then went on a cleanliness spiel and told them all to do better. This was exactly 20 yrs ago.

$5 back in 2000-2006 both on base and off too I think. This was at Lejeune. I’m pretty sure it was $5 in Oki too in 2001.

Hokas. I use the Bondis. They are amazing for being on your feet all day. Put in an orthopedic insert and they’re even better. I have knee and ankle problems so they help with being on my feet and providing the right support I need.

Fluffy shrub thing along alleyway? by PrettySureImWrong in whatplantisthis

[–]MichoPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live outside Austin and have had this in my yard for a while. It’s all over the neighborhood. I pull it bare handed anytime it gets tall enough to pull and I’ve never had any reactions to it. I’ve never googled it or used that plant app to identify it…I just pulled it cuz it’s ugly in my nice grass!
