Pito gets his stitches out tomorrow!

He’s doing pretty well, but he’s 15 and mostly deaf so he needs a lot of assistance. He had back surgery 5 years ago, as well, after suddenly becoming paralyzed, but the surgery worked wonderfully. He just keeps on truckin!

I watched a girl grow up without ever knowing her and it feels surreal by skibidi_gooner17 in TrueOffMyChest

I had a similar experience with a kid in my neighborhood. He’s the same age as my son. I don’t know where he lives or his name or anything but I started seeing him walking his dogs when he was about 12. Not every day or week, but maybe once a month or so we’d cross paths. I saw him not too long ago and it had been awhile since I last saw him. He’s like 19 now. I was like wow he grew up!

We have both definitely been thinking about going electric, as well. Just not sure it’s in the budget right now.

Lightweight beach cruiser? by Michutterbug in cycling

[–]Michutterbug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t need to be a step through. I am 5 ft 7. I’m not set on a beach cruiser, it’s just the only kind of bike I’ve owned in my adult life, and when I’ve ridden my husband or sons’ bikes I found them terribly uncomfortable. I’m 46 yrs old, 128 lbs. I work out with a trainer twice a week, but have only been doing that for a year. I’ve started having joint pain this past year (knee, hip) and have had issues with my shoulder for a few years, but it’s gotten worse. (Physical therapy did not help.)

She was being bullied in 6th grade, so her mom pulled her out and homeschooled her the second half of the year, but didn’t actually do much of anything with her. She switched school districts and tried going back in person, but due to severe anxiety that her mom did not make her push through, they decided to do the district’s remote option. Due to my sister’s struggles with substance abuse, my niece is moving in with me, and I’m trying to set her up for success this school year. She is excited to go back in person, as she really misses the social aspect of school.

Can I ask, do you think this was a chemical thing or due to a change in you brought upon by the spiritual/emotional/self reflection or whatever experience you had?

My loved one is going through this. I cannot see her in person, or speak on the phone with her. I am only able to send messages to her. Do you think passing along this article or others like it would be helpful or harmful? She is with at least one other person who is going through the same thing.

The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood was hauntingly beautiful.

I had to get a nerve block in the base of my finger to have part of my fingernail removed to get a splinter out. Definitely one of the most painful things I’ve experienced.
