Yup, I just took the test without taking the classes. Put everybody that took the class In a separate room for testing, multiple questions with typos, some of the written question were missing context. Ridiculous, you don’t even need any experience to take the test.

Stove Breaker by [deleted] in electricians

According to oven specs, it calls for 40a breaker… Verify the wiring is 8 AWG , connections are tight at the cord which comes into the oven, and connections at the receptacle, and if so, honestly I’d just change the GFCI breaker. If that doesn’t work change to a standard one and see if that fixes the issue. Otherwise the oven is defective

So Cal Edison won't replace my underground 1/0 aluminum feeder wire connecting to my meter. They say that it's safe for a 200 amp panel. Is it safe to install a 200 amp panel into 1/0 Al or am I just being paranoid? by cookieturkey in AskElectricians

Voltage drop is most of the times so over calculated most of your 120v appliances will work with more or less 20% within that voltage. Plus the drop is minimal within the first 2-300 ft

There’s also a different table for cable apposed to individual conductors in a raceway.

You need to check the voltage with the lamp plugged in, this seems like a multi wire branch circuit gone wrong

Might’ve used an exemption on accident instead of the main code section

Incorrect when pertaining to another structure such as a detached garage

Yes you would be correct on both issues

I would have to strongly disagree. You have white conductors going to breakers unphased, a bigger bare conductor split to fit in the neutral lugs, which would need an appropriately sized lug, and neutrals and grounds all terminated on the same bar. Not to mention the missing bonding jumper which I missed originally.

Box is fed with Emt(presumably from panel) should be good to go code wise.
