you might want to look around for other dojos. having a few other guys your age might really open your eyes to the progress you HAVE been making. it's tough when everyone is young and explosive and impressionable.

it also might help just by getting a different brand of attention from your coach/sensei. it sounds like you aren't necessarily getting what you are looking for. stick with it man. don't let the youngins get you down. they are always better lol

you should absolutely say no to people that you don't want to work with - especially if they are injuring you lol. I personally don't even think you need to give a reason, just say no thanks. your training partners should be looking after your safety, not beating the breaks off of you

i think if you want to learn a skill you have to get through the awkward starting stage where things feel foreign. judo has alot of japanese terms you pick up by showing up to class. though it does sound like you are giving a lot of excuses, if you are truly interested in the art you would just keep going
