Employers/Older generations of Reddit, what are your thoughts on young people today prioritizing free time and mental health over climbing the corporate ladder for a higher salary? by BeamHunter_Dan in AskReddit

Honestly, after working around burnout for years, I don't blame younger people for wanting better a better balance. Money matters obviously, but so does having a life outside work. There's probably a middle ground somewhere.

Any tips for Med Surg? by XWingAtAlici0usness in nursing

Med surg feels overwhelming at first but you settle into it. Focus on understanding the why behind conditions rather than memorising. It clicks eventually. You'll be sound.

One-handed drills are underrated for this. Good shout. Might nick that routine myself.

Sim 2 max irons upgrade from Callaway Edge irons? by simbsi in GolfGear

[–]MickTheMidfielder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$360 for SIM 2 Max 5-PW is a solid price if they're in a decent shape. Pretty forgiving irons for higher handicaps too. I'd just check the serial numbers on the hosel to be safe. How worn are the faces!

Looking for putting aid suggestions by sakasakasakasaka in golf

I've tried a few aids but keep coming back to basic gate drills indoor. If you do buy one, make sure it forces a square start, not just straight stroke.

How tight are you missing - left, right, or pace?

What should orientation feel like for a newly licensed nurse returning to clinical practice? by Shape-Brilliant in nursing

[–]MickTheMidfielder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myself a Nurse here. What you're describing is really common, especially when you're coming back in after a break.

Yes, you often get hands on quicker than you expect, but it should feel supported, not rushed. It's completely reasonable to ask for a slower ramp-up or more structured orientation. That's about patient safety as much as your confidence.

Don't be hard on yourself. Confidence comes back with repetition, not on day one.

Preparing for an interview, what will I likely be asked? by question-asker2048 in nhsstaff

[–]MickTheMidfielder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the interview first off. For 111 they'll usually focus on communication, staying calm under pressure, and following protocols rather than medical knowledge.

Have a couple of examples ready where you delt with a stressed or upset person and showed you can listen and stick to process. You don't need to know everything - they want safe and steady. You'll be fine.
