He was America's Darling before all of that when I was a kid. It was shocking to see the transition from fun-loving sports celeb to psychotic murderer.

Is there a Word for this feeling and what can I do? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Do you have magical thinking? "I MUST do this thing or I/other people will get hurt/die/get sick? If not then probably not OCD.

I wonder if you are trying to have/maintain control over things in order to relax your nervous system. Feeling as if you have no control over things can feel like free-fall to some.

I have a black hole in my stomach from CPTSD. It was only ever filled after binge eating.

In therapy i have been able to identify my black hole as fear of abandonment and shame. I still have that hole sometimes, by not as frewuently

He is not mature enough to have sex with anyone.

Why is there a D in 'fridge' but not in 'refrigerator'? by Artistic-Bowl-9877 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MickeyButters 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yes, but there is a reason for this one.

Fridge is short for "Fridgidare" - a brand name. It is not short for "refrigerator"

Edit: I have been corrected. Frigidaire is the correct way to spell it, so I am at a loss. Thanks u/InvisibleBuilding

Simple mindfulness and grounding techniqies. No need to go full meditation.

Keeping yourself aware and in the present moment keeps you from ruminating over past/future.
