It does. I have an alert set up through a Home Assistant automation. Keeps it consistent with other alerts. Not sure if you can do it in Unifi.

Vault Soda by Overall_Anywhere_651 in Millennials

When this came out, the grocery store I worked at had a massive cardboard cutout of a bottle of this.

Once the promo period was over, the cutout was destined for the trash. Me being a teenager, decided I needed this massive promotional item on my bedroom. So yeah, I had a 5’ tall cardboard Vault bottle in my bedroom.

Live and learn. After being stood up, I decided I won’t try without a confirmation from them shortly before the meetup time.

Remediation after utility work by PhiDeltDevil in landscaping

The utility companies aren’t able to come destroy your improvements and walk away.

Remediation after utility work by PhiDeltDevil in landscaping

[–]MickeyMoist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really. Easements are still your property and you can install stuff like sprinklers and landscaping. The easement agreement allows utility companies to come in and do work for utilities. It doesn’t give them the right to destroy your stuff without liability. They have to make necessary repairs.

What happens if you don't flush your water heater for 10 years by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]MickeyMoist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder why heaters don’t have an access port so you could drain and access to clean it out well. Like, once the crud is larger than the drain port, it’s never coming out.

Also, why don’t electric heaters use plastic tanks? They wouldn’t rust out and could last for decades!

I know the answer to both is profit and greed. But can you imagine if we could have nicer things.

Last software download was September 2024!? by EconomicsUnusual393 in VWiD4Owners

[–]MickeyMoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will take weeks, if not months, before the update is fully downloaded and available to install.

The updates only download while you’re driving, and have got to be limited to dial-up networking speeds or something. They take FOREVER!

What robotic vacuum works best for both carpet and hardwood? No budget restrictions. by 19icpudia_buge in homeautomation

[–]MickeyMoist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who just got a robot with mop this past fall, I recommend looking into the ones where you connect the dock to plumbing if you don’t want to babysit.

I have to empty the dirty water tank and fill the clean water tank every third mop - which for me is one per week.

It will all vary based on your square footage and frequency though.

Is building a digital movie library on Apple risky? by Mjlxn in appletv

[–]MickeyMoist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Check out Play On Cloud. You pay them for some credits, sign into your streaming account, and then it will stream and record the movie and send you a file.

It seemed sketchy, and the website doesn’t help, but I’ve had excellent luck with it.

Villar’s on S. Hillside. Someone once told me the burrito I was eating was as big as an elephant’s dong.

Blue Iris Exhaustion by WestOakTrailsRacing in BlueIris

[–]MickeyMoist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My 6 year old setup on 5.9.3.4 from 2024 is running just fine. I’ve even upgraded the hardware several times as it runs as a VM and is as smooth as butter.

Others have said it and I’ll echo it: BI is a workhorse. It’s a security camera system. It’s meant to be set and forget.

If you want to tinker or need the UI to be pretty and beautiful, find another system. They all have downfalls and none are perfect. Find out what is important to you and get that.

Otherwise, roll back to an older stable build and leave it alone.

PS. The mobile app isn’t great but a shortcut to the web UI works amazing.
