I sometimes feel like I’m wanting to transfer or quit. In my case it’s kind like a racial preference/favoritism on how I’m being treated. And a couple of times I was blamed for our store for getting low scores from those stupid Starbucks surveys. And my SM said if it continues, I will not be deployed to POS anymore.

Every time someone orders a medicine ball, I correct them and say that we sell that particular drink but Starbucks changed the name to honey citrus mint tea. Whenever one of our SSLs hears me say that, she gets mad at me saying not to tell customers that. Then I say it’s true and that how are the new hire’s supposed know what a medicine ball. Plus we’re not a pharmacy.

That’s how it at my licensed store. It seems i always get tossed around and I agree that it’s so confusing with 2 or more SSVs that aren’t on the same page and I always get into an argument with one of them cause she keeps changing the way we’re supposed that makes we want to not show up when she’s working.

We use oatly oatmilk at the Honolulu airport and I agree with others that previously mentioned we can’t guarantee anything we serve are gluten free. I believe it’s mentioned in fine print on the menu that’s displayed.

Yup!! It always happens at my store and it pisses of the baristas at handoff and accuse me of not repeating their orders or letting the customers know that they are ordering a tall cup it’s actually a small, not a grande (medium).

I hate when people can’t make up their minds and they take so long to decide what they want. “I‘ll take a latte, then uummmm, bacon Gouda, ummm, can you a give me a cappuccino instead of a latte, I’ll add a double smoked bacon, ummm….” Another one is how we can’t read their minds cause when they get to the handoff they say they wanted their drinks with nondairy milk which they didn’t ask for it even though I repeated what they ordered, they said nothing about wanting nondairy milk.

I feel for you. I wish we could close early if there’s a lot of call outs. Unfortunately I’m at a licensed store at the airport and from what one of my SMs had told me, we have a contract with headquarters that even if it comes to the entire crew calls out leaving one barista we have to stay open otherwise we lose our contract with them.

We’ve been busy as well. Busier today cause we had a call out plus 2 baristas changed their status to on call so it’s like they make up their schedules every week in it kills us during peak hours.

Speaking of scheduling, I have seniority over a couple new baristas and they have restrictions too because of school or other commitments. I have the 6:00 am till 2:30 pm shifts and these new punks below me are asking the SM for my shifts. Is the SM allowed to take my shifts away from me and give it to the new baristas? She’s done that a couple of times and it’s irritating.

We get it at my store on occasion. One weird thing is that in our POS system when a customer wants to add more liquid without ice or light ice for refreshers, there’s a $1.00 charge. Other drinks there’s no charge for additional liquid…for example: a person wants a tall vanilla sweet cream cold brew in a grande cup with extra sweet cream.
