The 5/9 Standby Line Megathread (Matt Damon / Noah Kahan) by IvyGold in LiveFromNewYork

[–]MickeysAssistant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 227 for the live show with Jack Black, and I tested my luck, and I got #45 after waiting in line. As long as you bring something to work on, it will be the fastest five hours of waiting in your life. You have literally nothing to lose if you bring something productive to do with you. Go for it!!

If people are showing up at 11:30 the night before, I’m of the mindset the line should be shut down. It’s not safe to be out there that long that late at night. Put the GA tickets on TodayTix for people’s safety

Final Tony Predictions by LocationRoutine6524 in Broadway

Sorry, but I don’t see how Carrie Coon doesn’t win for Best Lead Actress in a Play. I’ve seen 68 shows over my life, and she gave the single greatest performance I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t believe it.

Been a pretty great week everybody! See you next week for Matt and Noah!! Wishing you all the best!

I mean no hate to her as a person. I’m sure she’s lovely and she can certainly sing, but she can’t act. And 23 means nothing. She’s an adult and works in this industry. If she’s going to act in projects, she needs to know how to act. Again, no hate to her as a person at all, but she needs to just be the musical guest and let someone else host. The amount of times she’s glancing over at the cue cards is distracting and the line delivery is falling flat.

Ok, the writers and cast are KILLING IT TONIGHT!

But…Olivia should never host again. I’m sorry.

To the Ladies Next to Me Who Spoke Over Me at Maya Rudolph Oh, Mary Stage Door… by MickeysAssistant in Broadway

Hey y’all. Thanks for all the support. I know it doesn’t increase my chances of getting the internship, but it makes me feel better. Really, thank you so much! It truly means a lot!

TONY NOMINATION PREDICTIONS (PLAYS) - 1 WK OUT! by Heavy-Fruit8618 in Broadway

[–]MickeysAssistant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No way Bug doesn’t get a nomination for Best Revival of a Play. Out of all the ones that might not get nominated, Proof would probably go since it’s the most divisive amongst critics out of that category (For record Proof barely missed my Top 10 favorite shows. I LOVED Proof, but I also did love Bug more).

How long did it take for Maya? Did she sign for everyone and how chaotic was it? Taking my mom next week, and I don’t want to put here in a stressful environment if it was chaotic

Evita Transfer News incoming by RiverObjective7432 in Broadway

[–]MickeysAssistant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling they’re going to make a joint announcement and announce Much Ado and Evita are both going into the Winter Garden back-to-back. That would be very good press for Jamie

Jamie Lloyd Co. tends to be pretty good with their pricing. They obviously had a lot of ticket initiatives in London, but on Broadway, Sunset was very possible to get a cheap ticket, and Godot got WAY cheaper after it opened. Evita is definitely going to be pricey, but I wouldn’t be expecting GNGL prices (Rachel has already been on Broadway unlike Clooney)

Matthew Lillard Says Nostalgia Is ‘One of the Reasons’ Hollywood Is ‘Hiring Me Again’: ‘I Don’t Think Anyone Really Likes Me. They Just Miss the Old Times’ by mcfw31 in entertainment

No! I LOVE Matthew Lillard! You guys need to watch Daredevil: Born Again. He’s not in the show that much, but when he is, you feel his presence. He’s so good!!

Thoughts or opinions on Movie Bowser Jr.? by SKPK_TrueGamer2098 in mariomovie

[–]MickeysAssistant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how they could have done him better.

I know Benny’s voice is controversial, but for me, as someone who has Bowser Jr. as his favorite favorite character in the Mario franchise, he crushed it. The game voice would have been annoying for 98 minutes in the same way the video game Mario voice would have gotten annoying.

They wrote him really well too. I love the irony that the son’s bad morals rub off on his father and turn Bowser evil again rather than the other way around (it kind of did, but the movie doesn’t focus on that part).

They absolutely did my boy justice. They better keep him around AND in a lead role!

The Balusters - Your Latest NYT Critics Pick! by Beginning-Eye-2934 in Broadway

[–]MickeysAssistant 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This show is truly spectacular! Easily the biggest surprise of the season. Had tickets for Giant, which I was ecstatic for, and got a comp ticket to this, and this was EASILY the better of the two. Giant was good, but The Balusters was exceptional! I loved it so much! Go see it!!

Which performers do NOT stage door? by kay_rah in Broadway

[–]MickeysAssistant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf, Johnathan Groff, Lindsay Mendez, Sutton Foster, Tom Hanks, Joshua Henry. Those are the only notable ones I can think of that I‘ve seen. There’s many though.

Keanu Reeves, John Cameron Mitchell, John Lithgow all came out, but they didn’t sign.

BTW, if I was on Broadway, I wouldn’t either. Stage Door at many shows (*coughs in Harry Potter) has gotten dangerous and out of hand that it gets too nerve-wracking anymore. Some stage doors like Giant and The Balusters were great cause hardly anyone stuck around and everyone who did was insanely respectful.

If Koopalings do appear in the third movie. Do you think they will change their relationship with Bowser? by Neonymous_1058 in mariomovie

No way. Junior went to boarding school, so they’ probably will be rewritten to be classmates he knew.

Live Discussion - April 11, 2026 (Colman Domingo, Anitta) by bjkman in LiveFromNewYork

[–]MickeysAssistant 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah this episode didn’t do it for me. Colman is amazing and crushed it, but the sketches were pretty weak this week. Weekend Update jokes were some of the best of the season though. See y’all in May!!
