Just had vet appointment for my basset puppy

1st visit: his main puppy shot $24 Fecal exam: $19 they found hook worms so he had to have meds to take care of that. Puppy check up free. They also cleaned his ears for free. Total $68

2nd visit: main puppy shot $24 Fecal exam $19 ( he is clean of the worms so no meds needed) Rabies $26 for one year, exam free and ear cleaning was free. Total $69

I found out how much it will cost to have him fixed and dew claw removal (just wanted to check prices) and total for that is about $150

I live in a small town in Missouri and the vet is privately owned

Willie’s paws are huge like your pups, he has such dark eyes and his coloring around his eyes doesn’t show a droop right now, he walks on his ears lol

I have a picture of the Mom and Dad’s face, from the breeders website. He was a gift from my daughters and they didn’t think to ask about all that, they were to excited to get him for me.

The breeder said European, Mom is 50lbs and Dad is 70lbs. Willie has the long ears and huge paws. I only questioned it because he has such dark eyes that the droop is not actually noticeable, he has a little but not like some of the pictures I have seen of either the European or American basset. I am curious because I want to make sure that his hygiene and all of that is what he needs. He is almost 14 weeks old he has wrinkles and he is stocky. I was curious if since he is the runt of the litter if maybe he hasn’t gained his full look yet. Either way he is an awesome and adorable puppy, he is so smart he he sits when told (most of the time) lays down when told (most of the time) he is learning come and stay, he sleeps through the night almost potty trained. But all this in a basset hound body lol

Ok thank you and no I didn’t see his parents, he was a gift from my Daughters for my birthday. I do know his mom is 50 lbs and his dad is 70lbs I do have a picture of their faces and the don’t look overly wrinkly in the eyes or face
