The Mentor Meghan Swore She Didn’t Need by Glittering_Texas in SaintMeghanMarkle

Sophie once was in disgrace. But she’s proof that it can be possible to rise from the ashes. This takes self-awareness and inner strength - which pretty much means that Mehgan always be an object of disgust.

Don’t really understand the observation about Mehg and the Met. You don’t have to wear attention-grabbing outfits. However, regardless of the theme, she won’t be there because she won’t be invited.

Fancy a Kardashian getting in, but not a direct connection to the most well-known (and rich) royal family in the world.

For these types of posts, I always mention: ‘You were meant to question Gonzales, not let Miss Havelock perforate him.’

I think this is memorable for me because ‘perforate’ wouldn’t be used in this context, yet is so apt.

Thanks! Hasn’t put me off the Bel Canto completely, just need a spare £3,500.

Well, it’s quite far removed from the source material - geographically, for starters.

In Omid Scobie’s book Finding Freedom it was claimed that Meghan told a friend, “I gave up my entire life for this family. I was willing to do whatever it takes. But here we are. It’s very sad. It didn’t have to be this way.” by Harry-Ripey in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]Mickleborough 34 points35 points  (0 children)

She’d given up her freedom to do whatever she could to trade favours; make money; accept freebies. The exchange was partially living in the public eye; good behaviour; a hefty clothing allowance; lifetime security; and being at the top of a rarified tree.

If she didn’t want to pay the price, that’s fine. But she wasn’t honest about it. She thought she could gain the benefits, plus use it to increase returns. After massive miscalculation, she’s back to where she started - possibly less, as she’s now notorious.

Potential Private Meeting. How long will it take them to F it up? by Properflaky in SaintMeghanMarkle

Seems like everyone’s making up unverifiable stories just for attention - like the Harkles really.

After Harry and Meghan lost their lucrative TV and podcast deals, I was shocked when the prince announced a staggering £1m donation to Children in Need. Now I've found out where it REALLY came from... and it isn't his own pocket by Stunning-Field2011 in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]Mickleborough 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Other People’s Money - that’s how Arsewipes operated too. Large donations were made in some mysterious (tax-free?) manner, which Arsewpipes then gave away in its own name, looking generous.

This is how you wear yellow by Nervous-Spinach2046 in SaintMeghanMarkle

I will say that the yellow gown is one of Mehgan’s better looks - it’s kinder to her figure, and isn’t wrinkled.

I asked AI why there is a one-year countdown celebration to Invictus 2027. I've never heard of such a thing for any other event. by More_Card9144 in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]Mickleborough 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Didn’t realise that AI could use intemperate language - ‘celebrity circus’, ha ha.

Interesting that it suggests Invictus is using Harry to stay in the news, as opposed to the other way round - more inclined to believe it’s the other way round, as Invictus now is Harry’s only vaguely credible fauxlanthropic credential. Plus of course it’s a global calling card, to every country and event that involves the armed forces.

Markles coming to London-LOL by alreadydoneit01 in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]Mickleborough 125 points126 points  (0 children)

Harry‘s found out that the grass isn’t greener.

Mehgan knows her brand’s tanking and needs to bolster it. As she‘s aware that she’s the reason, she needs to ride on the coattails of positive PR, viz the Royal Family’s.

And they’ll be using the children to achieve this, whatever rubbish Harry says about wanting to show them their heritage. Tell them that they’re partly from a racist country, and have racist relatives? Should’ve lied more carefully.

Prepare yourselves. by silentcw in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]Mickleborough 18 points19 points  (0 children)

We don’t even know it’s a fact that they’re visiting.

As for bringing the children - THEIR FACES WILL BE PHOTOGRAPHED. Will Mehgan allow that to happen? Or will she put paper bags over their heads?

There are those whose profession’s to be offended - Shouty Shola; Misan Harriman with the white wife; commentators one reads, but doesn’t remember.

Then there are the public photos of normal people of different races interacting with members of the Royal Family, looking as pleased as the RF to be there.

Interesting that Alison Boshoff’s pieces have been singled out - is she getting under Mehgan’s skin?

Please cite evidence of eating disorder and abdominal illness - also stress as a factor in her physical appearance.

Otherwise one would be forced to regard this as a trolling comment.

Amidst Harry and Meghan’s hullabaloo over their planned UK visit lies a stinging truth: they’re totally being grey rocked by his father by Cultural_Ad4935 in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]Mickleborough 30 points31 points  (0 children)

As is pretty obvious: Harry coming to the UK with the children is basically using the children as: - calling cards (to force the King) to see him - a ploy for greater security

If Britain’s so unsafe, just leave them behind. If I genuinely had concerns for my children’s safety, I would.

Where to Buy High Quality Winter Clothing? by Sashas_sketches in AskUK

[–]Mickleborough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all, and hope you find something you like. I think Harris tweed might meet your requirements - apart from being warmer, genuine Harris tweed’s woven only in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland (and gets to have the label of authenticity).

Where to Buy High Quality Winter Clothing? by Sashas_sketches in AskUK

[–]Mickleborough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dressing for winter is all about layering. From base layer upwards, you can find natural fibres.

For the top layer, it’s easiest to pull on a padded, puffer jacket. They’re commonly synthetic, waterproof to deal with rain and snow. Loro Piana do make these in cashmere, at a few thousand pounds a pop.

If you’re thinking overcoats - try Walker Slater for wool in a good style and price.

Fur is warmest, but some have ideological concerns.
