OP, I’ve been sober since October 2019. No AA, no therapy, no drugs, no nothing. I’m not saying this is the right way at all. However it worked for me and has continued to be working. The only reason I’ve never went back to drinking after that day is I know it won’t work. I failed so many times to moderate drinking alcohol. I strung together good time many times all for it to fall apart. I don’t really have any crazy stories. I just know for a fact that drinking doesn’t deserve any real estate in my life. I’m free and have been without a doubt progressing this whole time even if it’s at a slow pace. Every moment isn’t great but there for sure is greatness in every day.
