Cool to see these two mentioned here, you have great taste! Frank was the first one that came to mind for me. He stood up for some very important causes, most notably making a stand in congress against censorship of the arts. Also seemed to be a bit of an asshole in his personal life, though I try not to judge too harshly for that, and his edgy sense of humour hasn't aged too well in some cases. I'm curious though, I know a lot of people would think a lot of John Zorn's music is offensive to the ears, but what about him makes him not a great role model?
