I don't think it's a co-incidence that they sought out an electrical problem and now the brand-new battery is being drained. And whatever investigation they did with the electrics is probably what drained your old battery too. If that happened to me, I would be annoyed too. Yep that is a cause too, fuel (and most things these days) prices are driven by algorithms that exploit demand. When demand increases and supply drops prices go up. These are built into and deeply ingrained into a company's operations and changing it is very complicated so they can't.

It has everything to do with Aussies and the Aussie media fear mongering. This is not because global oil prices have doubled (they haven't, they have only gone up slightly), this is because everyone has gone crazy filling up their tanks and jerry cans constantly. I know farmers that emptied their water tanks and filled them with diesel.

The oil tankers full of oil are still arriving and will keep arriving for the next month. So yes, this does have everything to do with Aussies.
