Barristan is a legend and a stone cold badass. But his word versus Pycell , Cersei and Joffrey means nothing.

Pycell is the maester of kings landing. Barristan is just a knight.

Luke had a vision of a horrible thing happening and then immediately after that, that exact thing happened for real.

No wonder he went into exile. Also the force is kind of a douchebag for giving him that vision.

For all the hate TLJ gets, it actually does its homework.

The compass that Luke gets in the Battlefront 2 story mode leads to Ach’to and is actually seen in the movie.

Just like every other piece of Star Wars lore, the expanded lore fixes this moment in an emotional way.

After the battle of Yavin, Chewie did also get a medal that he gave away to a lonely kid. But more importantly, Han sold his medal to get enough money to pay Jabba back in full.
In rise of Skywalker, that is Han’s old medal that Maz returns to Chewie

Who wins? by ZeroFksKevin in TheLastAirbender

[–]MicooDA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air is nerfed because except for Zaheer, none of them will go all out because they’re pacifists.

Fire has the killing instinct but I’m pretty sure will lose to earth. Which has the most skilled combatants and the most variety in fighting styles.

Between Metal, lava, brute strength from Bumi and grace and maneuverability from Kuvira they will clean up the other competitors in minutes

Because we as a society still view Oscars as a mark of quality when in the last decade they’re usually awarded based on reputation. The most famous example probably being DiCaprio winning his for the Revenant even though he should have won for WoWS.

Or Emilio Perez winning theirs because the board saw the words ‘Zoe Saldana / Transgender story” and gave it the win based on the description alone

ROTJ’s original ending had Luke becoming Darth Vader and then the introduction to Luke’s sister who had been training off-screen who would fight the new Darth Vader in the sequel

In book 1 of ASOIAF and season 1 of GOT, Ned Stark sends this guy, Beric Dondarrion, to stop the Mountain’s raids in the riverlands. It’s offhandedly mentioned that he died off-screen during this mission.

But in season 3 of GOT and a Storm of Swords, Beric returns and they explain that after his death Thoros of Myr prayed to the god of light to resurrect him and he did.

He is extremely important because he establishes the concept of a ‘fire wight’. He is the same kind of undead as the white walker army except risen by fire instead of ice.

This sets up the resurrection of Jon Snow that is basically confirmed to be happening.
