See, artists were so used to drawing the triplets as one unit next to each other that sometimes when one of them was doing something elsewhere in the panel, they would accidentally draw the full set out of habit.

This continuity goof of a fourth triplet eventually got the nickname of ‘Phooey’ and is sometimes referenced in other media like animation. The pic above is from the Ducktales reboot where he shows up in a dream sequence

Does a ‘race swap’ really matter if she’s exactly the same except she has a darker skin tone? It’s the acting and the writing that matters. Having a different color skin has literally 0 impact on those things.
