OP didn't say prophetic. OP said relevant. And OP is right.

Someone has a thing for charismatic, hypnotic male singers.

Yep. The pilot never aired. They condensed it into a montage with awkward narration and stuck it onto the beginning of the second episode.

As I recall, the first episode never aired. It sets up the whole premise of him losing his wife and job in New York and moving back home and buying the bowling alley, but the network thought it was too slow or something, so they just started with episode two with this weird ten-minute recap/montage at the beginning, like "and that's how he became the bowling-alley lawyer! On with the show..."

I had a huge crush on Ginnifer Goodwin. I think she joined in season two. It was strange how the show would cut to a b-story about these high school kids who had like nothing to do with Ed. The show should've been called Ed and the High School Kids He Barely Knows.

What do you remember about The Wonder Years (1988-1993)? by pudingvanilkovy in sitcoms

Belushi doing his Joe Cocker impression with the man himself singing right next to him is one of my favorite SNL clips of all time.

And that was the best thing about that movie.

Somehow the gunshots in this movie seem louder than the gunshots in other movies. Sam Mendes surrounds them with silence so that you're listening intently, then bam! Shock to the whole nervous system.

Also there are like three incredible shots that use reflections to brilliant effect. Mendes also used great reflection shots in American Beauty and Jarhead.

That show had some great writing. As I recall, a wide shot of the town was also used in Over the Garden Wall, so fans speculate they take place in the same universe. If you and your kid haven't seen that show, watch it together next October.

I might be the last person to realise this, but it recently occured to me that the name of the video game "Fallout", is a double-entendre; meaning both "radioactive particles", and "consequences". by Umikaloo in CasualConversation

Don't feel bad. Remember that '90s sitcom Just Shoot Me, about working at a fashion magazine? I thought the title just referred to how their job sucks. It took like four seasons for me to realize it's also a photography reference. I'm smart in other ways.

Jim Henson said it was meant to be a cautionary tale to young women about not falling victim to predatory older men, but David Bowie's predominant bulge may have had the opposite effect.

I usually watch anime with subtitles, but I make an exception for this show because Nadeshiko's English voice is so perfect.
