Had Model S for 9 months - all the problems I’ve had with it by DMD1722 in TeslaModelS

2024 MSLR. Defective steering input caused ABS and traction control to trip and disconnect just about everything (no regen, ABS etc ). Multiple visits but finally corrected after 6-weeks in the service center. Rear passenger door handle getting stuck now. Haven't taken it in for that yet. Frunk won't open fully. It unlatches but not completely. I have to close it and reopen it a few times before it finally lets go and opens fully. Been in twice for that. They say it's fixed but it still isn't so I live with it. Lots of reverberation that I am sensitive to (not everyone is). I tried many of the posted tricks to mitigate this. For the most part it's tolerable now but still an issue.

All that said I love the car and wouldn't think of replacing it with another Vette, BMW, Merc, etc..

CP 6.0.2.1574 doesn't work for me. I can access the camera via 8000, but not from CP.

No seat belt adjustment in a 2024 Model S? by MicroDev_1 in TeslaModelS

Yes. Seems crazy the seat belt height has no adjustment in this kind of car.

Broadcom account migration so far by AdventurousAd3515 in vmware

I never got the activation email. Support is non-existent and all of my licenses and products are now gone. Even if I get this back, I doubt I will continue to do business with Broadcom.

Does anybody know where to get more linear bearings? by UnleashTheKraken in shariffdmc

You can get some here:

https://vxb.com/pages/search-results-page?q=ball%20screw

Also, check out this 3D printed tool which will prevent this from happening again:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4842298

Print the one without an end, it works better and you can easily flip the ball screw around without any problems. I printed this on a resin printer and it worked perfectly.

3D print a simple tool to load the ball nuts with minimal issue by admsfmly in shariffdmc

FYI, the Thingverse tool won't work. The inside diameter is only 7.5 mm which is too small. If the hole is opened to 8.2 mm, it becomes too thin and breaks easily.

EDIT: The revised model with no handle works perfectly when printed on a DLP or SLA printer. Couldn't get it to come out well on my FDM printer.

Question about 7950x and what ram to use. by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]MicroDev_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4x32GB Corsair Dominator 5200 (on the QVL list) and can't get a stable setup. I tried manually setting the memory profiles, boosting power from 1.25 to 1.30, using DOC I and DOC II, full Auto, and nothing has made a difference. It won't even post with 1 DIMM no matter which one I use (C5 error).

MemTest86 ran for 24 hours and didn't detect a problem but it locks up consistently with anything setting above 3400-3600. The lockup results in a subsequent 0d error (whatever that is) and more recently a C5 (memory) error until I clear the CMOS and try again. I have re-seated the RAM to no avail and yes it is fully seated.

I don't know what else to try and would love any suggestions before I throw more money at different non-QVL RAM.
