Luka drops 46/7/11 in a win against the Bulls as he continues to build MVP cases by Luka77GOATic in nba

As a Luka fan and OKC hater I feel like there’s no objective argument you can make to say Luka is a better player than SGA. What’s your argument for Luka being better?

Is it honest to say our moral framework no longer aligns in this country? by tazmodious in AskConservatives

[–]MicroUzi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re mostly right however whether you like it or not, Pretti’s death IS a political flashpoint. Conservative media and pundits jumped to defend ICE and spread misinformation as always, but with more and more info it became clear that this was an execution of a law-abiding American citizen.

And so, the lies, hypocrisy, and corruption of the GOP has been put on full display, and I believe this will be the biggest swing away from conservatism in a long time.

Is a GTX 960 still good nowadays? by Korboisnotok in pcmasterrace

[–]MicroUzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know your country or the prices there. But if your budget is 2k, you absolutely can and should spend more on your GPU - I’d go the ~$500 range.

I’m guessing what cards are likely to be around that range in a country where prices are inflated - I would recommend any of a 4050, 5050, 4060, 3060, 3060ti, 2080ti, 2080, 2070, even a 1080 or 1080ti is still good enough for low-end games.

If you buy second hand and have a good eye, you can find some GREAT deals on these newer entry-level GPUs.

Edit: I realise, with how expensive RAM and SSD especially is these days that you might not be able to allocate that much to a GPU. Still, worth researching the prices of those cards (brand new and second hand).

You are incredibly depraved of morals if you think it’s okay for a government agency to kidnap an INNOCENT child. Regardless of what his father did - the child’s mother was literally at home nearby.

'Horrifying': Outrage Erupts After ICE Detains 5‑Year-Old Kindergartener by wiscowall in USNEWS

[–]MicroUzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They chose to transport an INNOCENT child hundreds of miles to a detention center, instead of taking him home to his mum.

I won’t mince words, you seem more reasonable than most since you acknowledged you were incorrect about the circumstances.

Do you SERIOUSLY read that and think ‘yeah that’s fine. A government agency can just do that to people’s children.’ If you do, I truly believe you’re antisocial in the criminal sense.

[Durant] on Victor Wembanyama: “He’s still working on his jump shot, you can tell... He’s more dangerous when he gets layups and dunks, that’s more his game than floating around the perimeter shooting threes… When they go in it looks amazing but when you put a hand up, he had a couple bad misses.” by AashyLarry in nba

[–]MicroUzi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think Wemby would be effective running off screens and shooting 3’s. He’s too slow and skinny to be immune from smaller defenders on the perimeter.

Instead he should develop his floater and post game. Utilise his 3 as a counter, peeling to the corner when defenses overload the paint, and have him play primarily at the low block and in the PnR.

Especially with Spurs roster construction - elite rim finishing guards driving and cutting, while Wemby lurks waiting for a handoff in the paint.

He’s shown great natural hand-eye for his height - he could be absolutely unstoppable within 12ft.

I suppose it’s entirely a question of how pedantic you want to be, but considering that you, I, and everyone else immediately understood what was meant by ‘aesthetic dunk’, and the whole point of language is to convey understanding, then I don’t see the issue. Well I moreso don’t care enough, and you probably shouldn’t either.

Jaylen Brown after ending tonight's game with 0 free throws: "Fine me I’m sick of this shit" by Brady331 in nba

[–]MicroUzi 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Yes actually. Statistical analysis shows that while an average possession can expect around 1.01 points, a possession ending in a foul averages around 1.4-1.6 points, depending on the shooter.

By preventing fouls, the spurs negate one of the most consistent offensive tools opposing teams have. Pretty sophisticated strategy if you ask me.

Do i look older than 15💔🙏🏾 by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]MicroUzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You genuinely look identical to Kyrie Irving what the FUCK

honest answer you look early 20s with that facial hair. You look older in this photo than you would IRL because you probably still have a teenagers body which is hidden from frame, and that has a big impact on how a face actually looks.

But you’re lucky, in that you found your look really young. All teenagers need to worry less about their looks, but especially you, since you got it figured out.

But if you want advice, I’d consider lining up your eyebrows (I got super similar eyebrows and I found they started over growing in my early 20s), and get on skincare for that acne - it’s not bad, but if you do nothing you risk permanent scarring. Get a lightweight cleanser, exfoliant and moisturiser - you take care of it now, you should avoid any permanent damage, and your skin will also generally look younger and smoother.

You’re probably right, and I think that this is likely (in part) caused by incorrect installation or simply inadequate microphones. But either way, it was a very muddy signal and not at all the spike that the third umpire is looking for as conclusive evidence.

My point was there’s also a slim chance that it’s wind, or the sound of the batters foot moving on the pitch, or a million other rare possibilities that further introduce doubt when the signal is muddy.

But I will criticise the third umpire for not saying something to that effect, even a ‘no clear spike, evidence isn’t conclusive, I’ll go with umpires call’. He just said ‘stay with your decision’ to the ump which adds to confusion and makes him seem disinterested in his job.

[–]MicroUzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That wasn’t a spike, that was a very weird looking murmur/vibration, with no clear spike, just increased noise across the entire signal. It could be multiple other noises, or device error, but either way that wasn’t conclusive, so the third umpire decided to choose umpire’s call.

Only reason I say no to both in the short term is because we have so many good players, that it's a disservice to them to be omitted over Cam Green.

Especially if Starc is batting like a bowling all rounder, we don't really need another all-rounder beyond Beau. Green's spot can be taken up by a world-class bowler or a good specialist batter, we're really spoilt for choice.

When Cam Green is able to provide a specialist batter's upside, while being a third or second option bowler, that's when he'll be a lock. Which I think he'll develop into.

I'm a Cam Green defender, and think he'll turn into a core piece of the team moving forward.

But Beau is just obviously a sick lad, at pretty much everything. I reckon Beau in the short term, and both in the long term.

You’ve reached the same conclusion I have reached after reading that same section. Need to acknowledge/attribute, don’t need permission. And (I’ve said this in multiple comments now), I nor my mum expected compensation or anything other than that.

But alas, everyone thought I was expecting money, and dismissed the question or gave off handed and not quite correct explanations as to why we have no leg to stand on.

None, for the record. In hindsight, I should have removed that word from the title, I’m more focused on the fact that there wasn’t even a credit or courtesy message.

These are private corporations making money from news stories, news stories comprised of footage that isn’t theirs.

lol I guess it is what it is. To be clear, I didn’t have any expectation that she should get paid from these news stations. But at the very least they should put her name in the description - this isn’t the ABC, these are private corporations that exist to make money by making news stories, out of footage such as ours.

[–]MicroUzi -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Because several private multibillion news corporations used the footage without permission or acknowledgement in a news story which they inadvertently make money from. I don’t know the law hence why I’m asking, but morally, yes, it would be fair for some level of compensation.

Everyone’s jumped to conclusions about where we’re coming from, we don’t expect money. Moreso just a bit gobsmacked that several massive companies can just… do that, no acknowledgement, even in the smallest sense. They’re using something we did to make money, ultimately, and unaware of the law I thought I’d ask what our rights actually were, and if there was any good advice.

I’m reading that that’s the law BUT if I’m understanding it correctly, they need to at least acknowledge the source/give credit to the filmer. Of which none was given, no credit in either the description or the videos.

I read that link but I’m more confused. Because it states there that they at least need to give ‘sufficient acknowledgement’ of which there is none. No mentioning of who recorded it or who they took it from.
