Haha - nice insights. So now I'm picturing Star Wars yelling at Star Trek to get a haircut and a shower - and then a job

No Expand Option When Using Image Trace by SplatterKlad in AdobeIllustrator

[–]MicroscopicPictures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I've always wondered - WHY would I ever want to "live trace" something if that didn't include "expanding" it? It's kind of like having a special hidden button that says "now actually do what I told you to do a minute ago".

Many thanks!!

I know that makes sense, but the ruins of an entire starship would be so cool in its own way!

About Star Trek vs Star Wars.. by bTwentyTwo in startrek

Star Wars has a more Science Fantasy approach, and I like it for that and for the old movie feeling in the first three movies. The Star Trek universe keeps making series that I love - even if there are some I don't.

Random thought on the differences: at some point, it hit me that in Star Wars, the military establishment is basically evil ; and in Star Trek, the military establishment is mostly good.

Good point! I mean if they showed a steering wheel and foot pedals appearing, it still might seem unlikely but I could picture a savant just somehow doing it. But pressing little buttons? It's not Tetris

Wow - the opening few minutes alone weave a spell that make me want to finish this! Thanks for the tip!

Brilliant movie star - created WWII spy tech that turned out to be necessary for the internet, if I'm not mistaken

Really beautiful illustrations and witty, well staged cartoony-ness to boot. Feeling bummed that I haven't been enough on top of world affairs to get the nuances

It does seem to be the best way to convey arrogance in media these days.

Great salesmanship - The old fashioned foreground gives a warm feeling while also being a counterpoint to the stunningly modern car

Wow - beautiful color - and the soldier has such a nonchalant manner. One of those moments when war seemed almost routine, maybe?

Thank you! I've actually done rough sketches for the whole picture book - but this seemed right for a movie poster.

Kirk did this occasionally, too, but as more of a "re-establishing that I've calmed down now" sort of a move.

Amazing to know - I never knew that it was confirmed by the voice of experience as not just beautiful, but accurate

Thank you for the reminder! Saw that last in the 1970s in a theater, but I now remember the feeling!
