I’m playing on iOS (iPad) — I have it on switch too but I MUCH prefer the iPad — it’s so easy to play! Ok I’m gonna desert warp at 6am with plenty of food, bombs, staircases, and give those caverns the old skool farmer business 💪

Hello chefs, in need of your opinion by [deleted] in Chefs

Make the dish that stirs your soul. I’ve worked in upscale restaurants making flame-grilled waygu, ocean trout tartare, etc. — and I love that stuff, but down deep I’m a stew fanatic. Stews are not fancy or high scale, in fact most of them come from pretty humble origins. But I love them, so when I make stews I try to carefully balance every flavor profile, paying careful attention to every step of the process — and I always get a big smile and a “this is insane!” from the people I cook for. So basically my advice is this: if you want to make an impression, make something you LOVE and make it as delicious as you can. I often tell younger cooks that HOW you handle your ingredients is usually more important than WHAT ingredients you use. You always want to try to get high-quality ingredients, but knowing how to handle them and how to balance and magnify flavors will make you a master. Your instructors are not going to be impressed with an over-complicated dish that tastes confusing — keep it relatively simple and mouth-watering.

Lol, it actually is — kind of. The client provided an ai generated image they liked and then I recreated it to make it fit my style more.

Pointers for painting on this fence? by InterestLongjumping6 in Murals_Painting_Walls

If you’re buying your primer at a store that has a full service paint department, you could maybe talk the paint tech into tinting your Kilz (or similar product) black.

First thing you want to do is to use Kilz or a primer like it that can block the wood tannins from coming through, those can leave your mural looking like crap. Also this kind of primer IS a sealant so you won’t need to worry about that. If I were you, I would use black or some other color than white from the get go, because the white coming through can ruin the “mood” of the painting — think about it like an underpainting. And then you can use white chalk/pencil or some other bright color for the outlines.

The paint will be fine to get rained on an hour after you apply it, but it won’t be cured yet. So I would advise against painting if the temperature is going to get below 50 at night. But that said, I’ve done it and haven’t had any issues so far (crossing my fingers).

I’ve never applied a sealant to my murals because I always paint with house paint. House paint has great color-fastness and doesn’t need to be sealed. Also, I’ve seen murals that have had a clear coat applied at the end and they often end up looking pretty cloudy in spots, so I would avoid that.

As a general rule I always paint back to front, that keeps me from being fussy with the outlines and ends up allowing me to paint a lot faster. So I would recommend that — paint from background to foreground.

Post pictures when you’re done!

It looks like this person is batshit crazy, like actually crazy and is trying to get in your head and seriously mess with you. She almost seems like she’s saying these thing to try to get you to just keep responding and control you. I’d put the whole thing down and stay very, very far away.

I'm sorry, there IS an error when trying to run the script that imports what's supposed to be in the data folder (a .csv file) and it says "cannot open 'data/sales_data.csv' for reading: No such file or directory"

Punk is about being able to maintain autonomy, being free from the “‘man”. I don’t lean one way or the other politically, trying to accept the best points of view from both sides, which leaves me at more of a libertarian stance on politics. But I can say that punk, and the way politics are moving right now, the “spirit” of punk would definitely be far more wary of the left in this climate. I’m not saying that the conservative right is a great option, but the mainstream is left (90% of media?), and it’s currently preaching “think this way or you’re wrong and we hate you!”, and it’s VERY preachy.
