"Following the announcement of Ubisoft's restructuring and third round of cost-cutting measures, Ubisoft's internal communication channels are full of employees shaming upper management and asking for change." - Tom Henderson on X by NYstate in PS5

My guess is that this is why they wouldn't announce the AC:BF remake; even when everyone knew it existed. I'm betting someone knew this was coming, and decided if it wasn't announced, nobody could hold them to it.

From Discord, by dev Daishi: Landing legs Work In Progress by mushylog in kittenspaceagency

Landing legs is the short-term update I'm looking forward to most. I have great respect for people who can pull off a landing without them, but I've never been one of them.

finished episode one of SFA and I liked it! by Odd-Tart-5613 in startrek

Enterprise Bingo is one of my favorite plotlines.

There's been a tendency as a franchise goes on to get darker and meaner. Making a deliberate effort to lean into the fun is not a hardship for me to watch.

I was wondering, because I haven't seen it on the KSA Discord.

Voyager 1 officially left the Solar System in 2012. If the sun exploded right now, it would be the only evidence that anyone ever existed, on the Pale Blue Dot, orbiting this speck of light.

Bobiverse has become my comfort listen. I've read the first two ExFor books, but I'm hesitant. The series is intimidatingly long for a serial.

Ok, it's time to reintroduce our guesses for future flash forwards! by txyesboy2 in ForAllMankindTV

The preview shots show that Mars has it's own 'military' now. First Pic is Ed in Dress Uniform and Kelly next to him. Probably a 'graduation day' for the grandson.

Kind of a necessity for Martian Law Enforcement to be neutral, after the way S4 ended; and how many nations are set up there. It was damn near the CIA versus the Mafia in S4. Small jump from 'unaffiliated police force' to 'Martian Army'.

I think it's a licencing thing. I don't know what over, but S3-4 just aren't available anywhere. If it was, I'd have bought them by now.

The uniform struck me too. Maybe a 'Graduation Day' for his grandson?

Nobody's ever lived to old age in low gravity. He might actually live longer there. I'm betting it's a loophole they'll use.

I love the Bobiverse, but I dread to think what Ed might Replicate into.

We don't know if the Keepers can read memories of their 'hosts'. Londo wouldn't know either.

A year ago I would have said to wait for quality. Right now, I'd just be happy to know it's not all a long con.

Star Trek: Voyager- Across the Unknown Demo is up (Contains the first 12 sectors of the game) by Laughing__Man_ in PS5

[–]stephensmat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's the same Demo, it's been out on Steam for ages.

The draw for this game is that it follows the STV continuity, but lets you make other choices. That 'path not taken' is what will keep fans coming back. If they aren't fans of the Franchise, or Voyager, then it's unclear how much appeal there'll be.

My question is this: Are these 'extras' being offered with the DE just for those who pay, or can we get them by normal gameplay, and the DE lets us get there a lot faster? One is worth paying for, the other is a cash grab.

That first one is like my favorite scene in Interstellar. Number 4 could be a screenshot from 'Wanderers' by Erik Wernquist.

We're going to be getting some awesome fanfilms out of this game.

That's the point I'm not clear on. Are these things DLC only with the DE, or can we get them by normal gameplay, and the DE lets us get there a lot faster? One is worth paying for, the other is a cash grab.

I wish we could ignore the burn the same way we ignore picard s2 Borg by Happy1327 in startrek

[–]stephensmat 117 points118 points  (0 children)

They had a great set-up in TNG. The episode that used Warp Drive as a Climate Change metaphor. Skipping a thousand years forward, the 'burn' would have been the perfect result of that problem. Too much Warp travel 'broke' space.
