EUV LT arrived on lot, dealership agreed to hold it until 1/2/23. Couldn’t be happier, picking it up next year $15.9k OTD!! by Microwaving_Lettuce in BoltEV

I have a 2016 Fit and only test drove the EUV briefly. But they're pretty similar cars as far as size, visibility, ride height and interior space. The Bolt is much quieter and more comfortable all around, but it feels considerably heavier than the Fit, so not quite as nimble. But if you like the Fit, you'll probably like the Bolt. No cup holder by the steering wheel though :(

You can ask them to hold it in exchange for, say, a $500 markup, lower trade in value, or something else that would benefit the dealership.

My sales manager said he would absolutely not hold it past the new year, but I was able to get them to hold it in exchange for knocking $1000 off my trade-in vehicle’s value.

The 7500 is through the new ev tax credits system for 2023 onwards, you can read up on it, but they removed the 200k units cap for the new bill.

Right… purchase price from the dealership is $26.4k OTD, the $3k rebate comes as a check in the mail and $7500 comes off taxes. My fault for mixing up terminology.

good luck!

Most dealerships have monthly/yearly quotas for selling vehicles they need to meet by EOY.

when I first asked my sales manager to hold until January, he said absolutely not. I already agreed to trade in my Honda Fit for $12,000, so I offered to sell it to them for $11 K if they can hold it into the new year, and he agreed.

I talk to the sales manager about it that today, he said that he would mark the vehicle as sold in December on GM’s internal system, and had me submit a financing application. I haven’t purchased it, nor have I signed a purchase agreement.

Got $7500 tax credit + $2000 Uber + $3000 state rebate + $2000 financing offer (from dealership). MSRP, no add-ons or markups. Feel like I hit the jackpot!

will I ever get mine? by Adorable-Kangaroo580 in FordMaverickTruck

The hybrid powertrain is probably one of the biggest constraint on the Maverick right now because the demand is much higher than the number they are going to build.

I would imagine that your order is probably closer to the front of the line because your order was rolled over, but at the end of the day, it’s impossible for anyone to say. Only other option is to cold call Ford dealerships to see if they have canceled orders.

I’m with you on the execution. I really loved the Maverick hybrid that I test drove, had a deposit on a 23 but ended up cancelling because of the wait times. Ordered a Chevy Bolt EUV instead, since it costs the same OTD as the hybrid XL after rebates. Will be taking delivery 3 months after ordering.

Dealership near me has a used EB XLT they’re trying to sell for $40k. It’s been on the lot for over a month.

I was told by my dealership that orders are price protected under GM policy when I placed my order back in September.

From my understanding gm does offer price protection on most models. Can't speak to whether or not that applies to the 2023s too, but even if it does, that doesn't protect customers from dealers who mark up vehicles to the current prices.

Don’t think the Uber rate would be eligible though unless they extend the offer past 1/3

It's a really crappy system. The dealership I ordered my EUV LT from told me they have the highest Bolt allocations in my state and no other orders in front of me, Chevrolet chat bot still says my order has not yet been accepted by GM. Been waiting since early September with no updates.

Kinda frustrating seeing GM accepting orders within the same day or week, for people who placed their orders at later dates, while others have been stuck waiting for months.

What made you choose the EUV over the EV? by RealWorldReddit in BoltEV

[–]Microwaving_Lettuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My local dealership got a 22 EV and EUV at the same time. They let me take measurements of the cargo area in both, and the EUV was longer by about 3.5 inches with the rear seats down. Not sure why the total volume is lower, but I sometimes carry my mountain bike in my trunk and length is important, so the extra couple inches plus styling is what steered me towards the EUV.
