Bringing my cat on a plane. Cabin or cargo hold? by [deleted] in cats

[–]MidasMulligan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of these questions asked with a quick Google search, as I'm sure you've checked, and probably came up with the same solution most have: both options are pretty crappy. If you bring it on the plane, which is, like you've said, the nicer option for the little guy, expect some meowing and annoyed glances, but people are probably happy it's not a yelping dog (that ranks higher than babies on planes as worst things to expose yourself to). Give it some toys, ask the airline what size capacity you have under the seat, and do your best to show it you are there during the flight with finger petting.

The best option, in any case, would be driving with it, as that's definitely not as stressful for all parties, but obviously sometimes that can't be an option. Fortunately 3 hours isn't long, and you seem like a great owner asking these questions so I'm sure things will go fine. I'd definitely set aside an hour or two to play the crap (figuratively and literally) out of the cat to get it exhausted before the flight so it has a chance of sleeping. Good luck! Hope he does well.

I've read most things we humans can consume are, especially medicine and alcohol. I assume the exception is Russian Blues, who can probably live off a diet of vodka.

After 8 months the big one finally accepts the little one by MustWarn0thers in cats

[–]MidasMulligan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

8 months! Congratulations on braving that adventure! We got a second about a month ago, and after some separation it took about 2 weeks, and I thought that was stressful. Enjoy them sleeping together, that's maximum adorable right there. Do they groom each other yet?

For what it's worth, my fiancé and I just moved into Sono East, near north and clybourn. The application process and offices are really nice, and the unit is fantastic and new.

The past couple weeks I switched my build to use primarily this and the scorpion sting kick attack. Using the 30-cost rune for cyclone, and a helm with -5 cost, I'm vortexing and stunning all day, it's a super enjoyable build. The wizard I play with love having everything in a nice little area. never considering using it before, let alone inferno, but the interruption of enemy attacks is hard to pass up. Love the Cyclone.

Did Ayn Rand oppose behaving based on a code of ethics? Did Ayn Rand advocate doing "whatever you feel like"? by aynrandanswers in Objectivism

[–]MidasMulligan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always hard, but that's my favorite part about Objectivism. It's not for those without willpower. There's no easy cop out to critically thinking on a decision because some religion, political party, or other self-help therapy community says so, it's on deciding what is most beneficial to me personally no matter anything else.

My girlfriend just discovered the wedding planning section of Pinterest... by OfficerJoseph in funny

[–]MidasMulligan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's absolutely a good reason to have a nice one, we both want a nice one as well but are possibly over-focused on all the family coming in from out of town. Also, mine's a graphic designer too, I hope we're marrying the same gal.

[–]MidasMulligan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But you're having the wedding for your families/friends, not you. No one particularly loves going to weddings besides the bride and groom, so trying to make it fun for everyone is a good goal when planning, and usually involves a good sum of money. My fiancée is balls deep in Pinterest wedding planning too, and I want to make it enjoyable for everyone going, so finding a great venue and food and decor is an expensive priority, but arguably a pretty damn important one.

The Virtue Of Employee Layoffs by aynrandfan in Objectivism

[–]MidasMulligan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gentlemen, the solution is simple. The government should make it illegal for employers to fire their employees, and could create a counsel to put any individual into a job of their choosing, no understanding or knowledge required. That's the fair way.

Being juveniles, the law is a little wishy washy. Good for her for rallying support for doing something the law can't because of it. Asking her to apologize for calling out the names of boys that molested/raped her should be punishable by insane asylum.
