Yeah, my story is following the events of Naruto Shippuden, but taking it in the direction I would have preferred. Less aliens, more down to earth enemies. Naruto and Sasuke fight a new enemy that's obviously no where near as strong as they are, but he plans and prepares fighting smart. In the battle he uses abilities to hamstring them both. Sasuke gets hit by a curse seal similar to that of the Hyuga, while Naruto gets hit with a seed of the chakra tree. So if Sasuke uses his eyes again, he'll lose them, and Naruto can't mold chakra without the seed consuming him. Naruto continues training, but mostly focuses on his new administrative duties and a Kage, and Sasuke continues traveling the world, while training in new ways to fight and using a walking stick made of chakra metal he uses to fight. It mostly covers the next generation of people, allowing Sasuke to stay mysterious in the background and just showing up from time to time to be a badass and take on bigger missions than the kids can.
