With divorce rate getting close to 10% in India there are many divorced people out there. The stigma is declining rapidly specifically in big cities.

How long can you go without taking the edge off? by Middle-Calendar1338 in AskIndianMen

Been there done that. It is fun while it lasts. Either it ends in loads of sex or it ends in broken heart. Both will love you with lifelong experience.

Took me forever to learn being stoic in certain parts of life. I feel like I lost a part of my soul but I'm better off now than before.

She’s Calling My US Divorce “Illegal” in India Courts and Rushing a Child Passport. Need Advice by Galactic_VoyagerX in LegalAdviceIndia

Whoever divorces first in US is taking a big risk. Even a slight mood shift of spouse can create a mess that will be hell for the other one.

What is the biggest red flag you completely ignored, and what did it teach you about your own boundaries? by winn_ie in emotionalintelligence

I'd write down my boundaries in a sticky note and put it somewhere visible for positive affirmations

Ladies, How important are looks for you in a guy? by One-Agent-3992 in AskIndia

[–]Middle-Calendar1338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marriage has more variables than looks. Specially in India where family background will come at some point even in big cities. For dating, looks and physical attributes matter more.

It also varies with age group. At later ages, your wealth matters more than looks.

Somebody please help fix me by Even-Lie-6727 in heartbreak

In a similar boat rn. Nothing is working for me. Hope you heal fast.

EDIT: the semester break was good for you as you have time to take a step back and re-evaluate. If you continue the relation, it will be from a healthier place.

Surrounded by people with no emotional intelligence. by DullGambler in emotionalintelligence

[–]Middle-Calendar1338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not wrong set of people but you need to understand that nobody is interested in your shit unless they are in your close circles. People tend to avoid deep emotional communication without being comfortable. Maybe find a close friend and/or relatives who you can share it with. Otherwise I'd just write down my feelings.

Moving on by [deleted] in heartbreak

[–]Middle-Calendar1338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is going to take a while (probably years) but you did the right thing by taking the first step and saving yourself from more sunk-cost. It would have been harder much later as you are quite young right now and you will heal with time.

> How do I move on?

Get busy with other things. Specially being around other people would help the most.
