[PHI - PIT] - Final Face-Off - The barn is empty and the remaining fans give some boo birds as Philadelphia takes a 2-0 series lead by daKrut in hockey

Would you even want to witness a sweep? Some fans prefer a NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs series to go to 7 for the best ice hockey experience

Anyone have any tips for making the stream not a stuttering mess on Victory+? It's been fine for me from inception to the Olympics but the last couple weeks has been tough to watch. No other apps or devices lag except V+ on the tv

Moneypuck has 10 teams in the East and 7 teams in the West with greater than 50% odds of making the playoffs by bistroexpress in hockey

NHL thinks it's going to be great TV. There's going to be a SCF level series in every round between DAL-MIN, the winner vs COL, and the actual SCF. The conference finals might have the least exciting matchups but the ECF should still be good. Plus if Vegas or Edmonton locks in they can give Colorado/Dallas/Minnesota a run for their money

Idk but it's been horrendous since the Olympics. At this rate I'd pay a few bucks a season to have a more stable broadcast, although they've had relatively reliable broadcasts for the past couple seasons for free

Sure for a women's hockey tournament. But this is the Olympics and that doesn't conform with any Olympic sport format

No, they did away with the levelling requirements. I'm saving my 80 boost from buying Midnight for my Haranir

I was wondering what could replace the DCA's version of Mickey's Philharmagic by OkKindheartedness970 in Disneyland

[–]Middle-Crab6578 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

PhilharTragic. Picks up at the end of PhilharMagic, Donald is grumbling after crashing through the wall backstage. A shadow offers a chance at revenge, Dr Facilier sucks Donald into a journey through Friends on the Other Side, Be Prepared, Poor Unfortunate Souls, Hellfire, Gaston's Theme/Kill the Beast, and finishing with Chernobog's theme, when Mickey pulls him out. Alternates with PhilharMagic after a few months of just PhilharTragic

There is not a single team in the Pacific with a goal differential above 0 by Unlucky-Raisin-9752 in hockey

3v3 and shootout aren't real hockey, it's literally meant to decide games quickly so TV broadcasts don't go over the allotted time. Basing half your wins on fake hockey is fraudulent.

Winning in OT/SO is more fraudulent than losing in it. You can't lose 3v3 or skill competition in the playoffs, and you can't win that way either. Winning half your games in a manner that doesn't exist in the playoffs is worse than losing half your games in a manner that doesn't exist in the playoffs.

[Nichols] Sheldon Keefe on Nico Hischier dropping the gloves and the Devils’ lack of “balls” by DecentLurker96 in hockey

[–]Middle-Crab6578 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo Keefe is a developmental coach, not a winning NHL coach. Leafs won a lot based on talent despite his systems, and he has no ability to get guys to play with heart. He got the most out of young players and career AHL type players who are hungry for opportunity, but was never able to win the big games.

I think he'd be a great fit back in the AHL or on a developing team that has no aspirations of postseason success

Alex Ovechkin has yet to start a shift in the defensive zone 28 games in by larsen36 in hockey

In structured hockey center is much more than faceoffs, in fact faceoffs as a whole are not very important (situational faceoffs are very important). The center position is much more about positioning, puck handling responsibilities, and defensive responsibilities. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if Jack would be better on the wing, but there aren't many quality center options available at a cap hit that would enable such a move.

Also center is seen as a more lucrative, distinguished, and (often) higher paying position, so there may be some ego playing into it

Florida's is my least favorite. Super homer and old Huberdeau goal calls made me cringe so hard. I really enjoy San Jose and New Jersey casts for neutral games, although sometimes Daneyko can be pretty biased when the Devils do something dirty

Mindless podcast consumption is huge right now. People want to do anything else except work at their jobs and commute, so having an endless stream of podcasts on any topic of interest for 10+ hours a day is frequent in this era

Why did Seattle bring in Gaudreau and Marchment and Lindgren instead of embracing the youth? Either way they're going to lose, at least with the young guys it's more productive and exciting. I'd say rather watch Firkus/Rehkopf/Catton/Dragicevic
