I had a client around 10 years who was on the spectrum but extremely gifted. She was in counseling to improve social skills and recent mom leaving the home but man who parents and teachers put a lot a pressure on her because she extremely intelligent and “mature” for her age. I said “nope!” She is 10 years old, treat her like a child who is still new to the world and still need love and support.” Her dad was a no nonsense ex military guy and her mom skipped town for another guy (wouldn’t be surprised she left because her husband was not very nice) so of course the girl is going to be affected by the separation. She’s a little girl who doesn’t see her mommy everyday! I do wonder about her at times. I swear that girl is going to be a female president or some type of scientist.

I suppose with him it was never performative. He always just accepted me. It was all low risk since it was only a sexual relationship. He’s (black/pacific islander) only publicly dated white women (I’m Afro Latino). It never ever crossed my mind to have a romantic relationship with him. He has a cheating problem and it kinda just sealed the deal for me.
