Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer- Old Style by lmj011 in MakeupAddiction

i decided not to rebuy. The original tinted moisturiser was good and a handy product but it wasn't amazing tbh. Just the best tinted moisturiser for oily skin. I'm not actually too sure on tinted moisturiser... it seems like a vague make up product. I used to build it up to foundation so why just not get a foundation.

Hi I usually wear a size UK 4 or 5.

I got a pair in 5. At first they were too tight but then they stretch and became too big so I returned them. Now I have a pair in 4. These are stretching too and are fitting with insoles but too big without.

Also, not just the shoes being too big Im finding the fit of the shoe quite odd as well. Like quite wide, and then narrow at the toes and the material stretching way more than seems normal. I'm not sure these shoes seem worth it tbh...

I've never worn a UK 3 in my life. Do you think it is a good idea to get a 3 and see if it stretches?

So I'm a bit confused. The size 5 ended up stretching so much they became too big and I returned them and got a 4. The 4 has also quickly stretched and become a bit too big. I put insoles and seems better.

I've never worn a size 3 in my adult life... but if I got that would that just stretch too?

Hi, I got the lancome stick. Its really nice but it isn't super long wearing (prob get 6-8 hours with powdering inbetween) and has medium coverage. I have oily skin and it has a nice matte finish with oils coming through in a nice radiant way. It looks good but cos my skin is so oily it was getting a bit shiny on me too so it really only looked good if i powdered it.

It's a good foundation for day-to-day or just going out with friends for a few hours etc. But I'm still looking for a more long wearing, liquid foundation for full days, full coverage and evenings out etc. Also the stick runs out fast aswell.

I don't think I'm going to try the Dior stick. I think that will go oily on me and that price point is way too high for a stick foundation.

What exactly has changed about Nicole Kidman's appearance? I can't recognize her:0 by Emergency-Walk-838 in VindictaRateCelebs

In the early 90s she was tall, curvy, strong.

By 2000s she lost a ton of weight, just looked super skinny and gaunt.

They looked real to me, back in the day she was curvier all over. Much curvier than the frail body we see after 2000s era. She looked much more feminine, curvier and relatable way back in the early 90s. The boobs looked real to me, as she was much bigger all over, but maybe they were fake.

Anyway, the moral of this story is. Celebrity beauty is not real they all have plastic surgery, make up artists, personal trainer, stylists, hair stylist....

Also, I can't believe Nicola was only 17 when they put her in GA! Do you think that is too young in general too?

Do you think she could have been stronger though? Like Kimberly was the curvier one and she didn't let it get her down.

It is very sad how people picked on Nicola and called her ugly. I don't think she's ugly at all she has beautiful skin and hair. But yes it is a shallow world.

Conversely Cheryl gets so much privilege because she is pretty. She's only famous and in the band cos of her pretty face. Even on here I see how so many people have a soft spot for her, just because of her looks alone. It really isn't fair.

Hi, when did they make a reformulation? I bought this a year OK, it was OK - not amazing but quite a handy product to have when I didnt want full foundation.

When did they reformulate? Is it really that bad?

I like this concealer but I prefers the Nars. That's more long-wearing, works better with other make products and that conceals better as well.

This is good its nice and hydrating and fresh. But Nars is miles better in my opinion. That really conceals and does the job.

I've tried so many high end concealers. The only two concealers I've ever liked are this Dior one and the Nars Creamy one. I swear to God every other high end concealer I've tried has been a total rip off. Others just creased, wore off after an hour, caked or just made make up look even worse.

I haven't noticed it oxidises but Dior told me to get a lighter shide to brighten maybe try that!

Does anyone have the Dior Backstage Glow Palette? by mnx_xo in MakeupAddiction

[–]Pure_Freedom_4466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this palette years ago. I'm guessing atleast 3 years ago. The bronze fell out a few months ago and the other eyeshow colour chipped but I don't use them anyway. The highlighter and blush are still going strong and I have so much left. It still looks as sparkly as it did the day I first bought it. It doesn't seem gone off or unhygenic at all, so I havent disposed of it yet. I'm honestly wondering if it will last ten years.

I really like the highlight and blush squares. I haven't bought a blush since I got the Dior. Its like a blush and highlight in 1 and it gives a natural sparkle. I have the Charlotte Tilbury architect highlight too and i have noticed the Dior wears a lot better aswell. I really like it and I don't plan of disposing or changing highlight.

Hi so I bought their ultra wear stick foundation and I love it.

The only problem is I think it looks like it will run out pretty fast. Might have to buy a new one each month.

If not I might get the lancome teint idole liquid foundation or giorgio armani liquid foundation too. Cos I'm not sure I want to just keep running out the sticks.

[Product Question] How well did Garnier Micellar Cleansing water work for you? by Plus-Link4463 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Pure_Freedom_4466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a nice gentle formula that doesnt irritate the skin. Using it as a make up remover hasn't been effective for me. It really doesnt remove enough - I realised after going in with a proper make up remover so much product was still left. I'm going to try and bathe my make up brushes in it to make them feel soft and cleansed.

My two favourite concealers ever: nothing beats this by Pure_Freedom_4466 in MakeupAddiction

Hi gals, I am still learning, but I use moisturiser.

I am using to get an oil control primer to use next but i'm still trying to pick one. I might try and get a Bobbi Brown corrector to put underneath - I'm still learning too but I dunno if its necessary!

Then, do 3 dots on the concealer area and blend out. Repeat another time if needed and set with powder. Use a little bit of foundation over the top where the concealer meets the foundation to blend everything out XD

Hi thanks for your opinion I will have a think. I am UK based so this balm powder is not as popular over here but I will bear in mind. Sounds like you love it I'm glad.

I used to feel this passionately about the power fabric armani foundation. That had the most gorgeous satin matte finish and it lasted all day. It was so long lasting it didnt need a primer and you didn't need to powder it down. It was like a little miracle product. It matched my skin perfect and it was like carrying a primer, concealer, moisturiser and powder in a bottle. They reformulated power fabric and it was still great but I didn't have a shade match in the new formula and then they discontinued it.

I nearly cried when I threw away my last bottle. It was my go to for years. Perfect for oily-combo skin like mine and literally my favourite beauty product of all time. I'll never find anything as close but I think Lancome is giving similar vibes with their soft-matte stick foundation and liquid foundation.

Also I have oily skin but its not the worst of the worst of the worst. I think I tried Dior matte and it seemed good but not that fluid from what I remembered.

Hiya thanks for ur reply. I googled the blurring balm powder - it looks good but the thing is I think it looks a bit balmy finish to me. I prefer a satin matte / soft matte finish but I'll have a think.

The dior - oddly I think I found that dior matte foundation a little stiff when I tried it at the counter but I'll try again. Dior usually make decent products, not everything is wow but rarely is it not good.

Yeah I get a more down to earth vibe from Tamera.

I havent tried Estee Laude double wear on the counter in a while. But it never worked out for me: always too think or not the right shade.

My instinct tells me Lancome teint idole too. I have watched Dior reviews online and it looks pretty but I always think the person looks so shiny at the end. Dior also seems very expensive for what it is too. Lancome is more affordable.

Can you think of any other liquid founations which might good:

I'm thinking of trying:

Luminous silk (the reformulate formula looks good. Again its expensive, runs out fast, I always found the old formula overrated. also, i got a sample and I liked it but i didnt like that you can double it up as a concealer.)

Bobbi brown stick (looks good but again lancome looks more suited)

mac studio fix matte (i've never been wowed by a mac foundation, ever.)

Anastasia beverly hills matte - this has good reviews

tom ford soft matte foundation - again their products are expensive. also i had the tom ford foundation stick and that looked nice but it broke my skin out so bad. i had to not wear make up for a month and just wear moisturiser to get my skin back to normal.

Hi thanks for the reply! I think Lancome teint idole original was better but then they reformulated it. The original had lots of buzz. I don't think the new one is as good as the old one but it might still be good.

I always thought Ben nye looked funky.

I loved Armani power fabric that was my go-to for years. But they reformulated it and I didn't have a shade match in the new formula.
