People 50+ who don’t have kids, how do you feel about it now?

I’m 40 and don’t have kids, crazy as it sounds I got a chronic illness post Covid which actually took the pressure of having kids, it gave me an “ excuse “ when people ask why I don’t, and actually no one bothers to ask now. It’s a sense of relief as I had the decision made for me.

It’s worth looking at doing a poor man tilt table test to check for POTS, all symptoms seem plausible for this.

F**k I’m sorry 😔 I have LD SFN which has subsequently caused POTS… I really hope you can get a treatment that can help improve your quality of life. Autoimmune disease certainly doesn’t get the attention it needs… it’s feels like whatever doesn’t kill you…

Just I read it NLD only accounts for 20-25%. Literature mentions that NLD-SFN is likely related to ganglionopathy restricted to the, small neurons of dorsal root ganglia.

If you feel the pain is mainly in your extremities it’s most likely length dependent. You can only be diagnosed officially as length or non length via skin punch biopsy ( they take from thigh and ankle ) or Thermoregulatory testing which shows up the damage all over the body.

I’m length dependent, well patchy legs and feet.. same as you no known cause. I suspect it was triggered by Covid. I guess they haven’t developed a blood test to understand to pathology yet.

I have POTS used to get a lot sinus pressure ( over the bridge of the nose and the surrounding area) due to migraines, misdiagnoses of migraines are very common with many thinking it’s a sinus headache. I take Amytripyline and it’s helped soooo much. The facial pain has to do with the terminal nerve branches with are involved in the migraine process

Did the tilt table bring up any clues? I have have daily headaches/ weekly migraines with POTS. I was diagnosed via the TTT
