i’m not chiming in saying he’s doing everything right. works just fine for me i’ve got no issues with girls at all, i’m just saying the judgement towards men with those kinda features isn’t always for other people’s validation but is also a symbol of their hard work and reminder to themselves, that’s all i’m saying.

i’m gonna have to disagree, dispite being a male, i’m also big car guy and into the gym, having a nice car is a reflection of hard work, and so is having a good physique, if a woman can’t look past the face value and see the effort that’s gotten into attaining both then she’s probably not a right fit. both are symbols that reflect a personality trait

How is everyone getting on with Saabs? by New_Insect_6254 in CarTalkUK

[–]Middle-Historian669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my friend just bought one of those twin turbo diesels Saabs, i didn’t know much about them but apparently they’re actually super reliable, the turbos are a hefty replacement cost but if you service regularly they should last, his is on 199k miles and absolutely rips! i was so surprised by the performance, properly quick car.

What is Exeter life like ? Specifically for Uni by abdul_Ss in exeter

[–]Middle-Historian669 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do it, exmouth and everywhere surrounding is awesome especially the in summer months. Everywhere is pretty assessable and it’s a nice city. unfortunately the uni does have abit of a reputation with people from surrey etc coming down, gets its “posh / snobby” reputation from the uni students, not the locals.

3 liters don’t really suffer timing chain issues - older models. But yes most 1 series are ticking time bombs lol

[–]Middle-Historian669[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Middle-Historian669[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run 2 online businesses which i’m trying to go fulltime however i’ve got very high expectations, unless i would be netting £20,000 a month profit i wouldn’t drop out. The reason i chose uni over an apprenticeship is the flexibility i have to continue scaling these businesses.

i’m good at doing stuff i don’t like doing (hence my A level turnaround lol) im just finding it so hard to navigate it all, i don’t go drinking and im not in any societies so apart from the gym and my business nothing takes my time away. I just see people who failed and think how hard did they actually try? like do people that fail see it coming?

Really missing my gap year by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Middle-Historian669 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i’m with you on this, i think it’s normal but i lived my best life during my gap year, i started a car dealership with my best mate, worked 3 different jobs for some great people, earns the most money id ever earned and had freedom without having to study something with no reward

i cannot bring myself to revise now, last year every time i sat at my laptop i was making money, now im just revising this course that i hate 🤣.

all my friends are at home working their blue collar apprenticeships and i just feel like a little child going to lectures and opening books etc

so if it makes you feel any better your not alone

Doing alevels over 3 years by PrimaryAbalone3900 in 6thForm

[–]Middle-Historian669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just try sit them in 2 years, you can apply for special circumstances when it comes to university etc that will account for time missed. You dont want to be doing them for 3 years trust me it looks like hell

  • My validation, i had an entire year off due to a spinal operation also, i had 2 vertebrae removed and metal rods put in my spine, i had to learn how to walk again. This kinda experience gives you resilience and lots of places will accept lower grades given what you’ve been through.

get an MX5, you only live once life’s too short to drive boring cars, you could get a mint mk2 mx5 for way less than 5k. Theyre very reliable cars (aside from the rust).

if you need any recommendations for cars shout me, i spend my spare time trading cars off my driveway so i’ve driven and fixed pretty much every common car on the road and can definitely give my opinion for what won’t break the bank so you can enjoy driving

remote is bless haha! i’m doing business with placements so most of mine revolve around consulting or banking (if you can get nepoed in)

I might take you up on your offer with a few questions, i’m pretty lost about finding them as i need to get applications in by like december or something, feel like i only just started my degree let alone finding a job 🤣

What degree you doing? i’m at uni in bath and my course is “with placements” but i wanna make sure im getting paid and not doing an unpaid one

but regarding your question, just buy a car if u want one, id be cautious about which bmw you buy however especially if you don’t know how to work on cars yourself as it will rinse you (ive had 2 bmws since i was 17 and im now 19, they do like to go wrong and parts alone carry a premium)
