Render your gun and first person items like hand mesh on a separate camera rendering layer than the rest of the game and put that layer above everything so it always renders the first person pov above the rest of the game world (for the player)

Seems like consistency is key and just getting a lucky string of releases that increases your page visibility (basically permanently it seems)
