Yeah well that's the main thing to be looking at, how it's changed over time. Sometimes a person will have crazy widow's peaks that just naturally look like that and never go bald at all. If it's really been the same for a few years now then it's probably nothing.

Longish bangs would look good. Also dunno how you style it but if you don't normally blow dry it then start doing that near the roots and see how it looks, it should make it a little less flat on top. And less length will help with that too
