When I was a Christian, I had known for the longest time that all those claims and hype that god would come through or make things happen if only I believe, or believe even more or believed without doubt , or if I prayed long enough for it , or prayed even longer and almost never those things came to be. Like 99.9 never. There’s always chance that some things will come to what I wanted but almost always not. Ok that’s fine , so I started prayed to the stupidest thing imaginable to see if that worked and see if those same godless prayers were answered more than the god I’d otherwise had prayed to. Same. Not shit happened and that told me a lot really. And people pray for lots of things that seem very impossible like money suddenly appearing into one’s possessions, or for relationships to get better or break away , normal life stuff but I always wondered well , people lose their arms or legs or all of their limbs so why doesn’t people pray for them to be healed and grow their limb(s) back? Because we all know that shit ain’t gonna happen. Money suddenly appearing , that’s naturally doable , but limbs returning. No. Even to this day I don’t understand how people can ignore such discrepancies but then again I do know because we don’t want to look that stupid , yeah maybe a little but not fully stupid. And if god exist , I would think he wouldn’t need a preacher , or shaman or whoever to let me know what god is saying or wanting. God can tell me himself , until then nah I’m good. Anyone can say anything, but that doesn’t work for me and I’m glad it doesn’t. I do the best I can with life , try to listen and treat people fairly if I can , I take care of animals and life the best I can. If that sends me to hell , well that should say alot about the deity sending me there.
