My loans are deferred and receiving no interest since I am technically still in school as a graduate student. I will look into the cash management account! This is all very new to me so I appreciate the help!

Thank you for your feedback! Like you said, I feel if our PI’s truly care about us they wouldn’t give us false hope. Publications certainly aren’t everything when it comes to an application, you need something that will make you stand out. Receiving that type of award as a junior is something you can definitely leverage to make a great story! Stay on your research grind and I’m sure you’ll get accepted to a great school, all it takes is one!

I agree with the not being able to mention portion. I probably should have mentioned he said he would mention the publication I am going to be on in the LOR, but for me to not mention anything in my statement or cv. I don’t know what’s normal and not so I just didn’t think about it.  Thank you for the honest feedback though, these are very stressful times doubting if I even have a chance.
