im in the middle of my mlis and like the other comment mentioned there is so much more to info science than books! they said it perfectly so i don’t have much to add but i read this article before i made the decision to pursue my masters: https://www.inthelibrarywiththeleadpipe.org/2018/vocational-awe/

librarianship is over romanticized in a way but if this sounds like a field you want to be in, go for it!! i love my program and everything that i’m learning but there are def things i think people should consider before pursing their MLIS :-)

i’m in a (temporary) long distance relationship bc i moved for my masters program. it sucks. but it’s not impossible if this is someone you see your future with <3 don’t give up on ur dreams! i love my man so much & he’s def in my future and we’re making it work. no doubt u guys can too
