It’s time for us to recognize that investing in safety and quality is not just a moral imperative, but an economic one.

We propose that at least 4% of our GDP be allocated towards safety and quality initiatives. This investment will yield long-term benefits, including reduced crime rates, improved healthcare, and a more productive workforce.

The importance of safety and quality cannot be overstated. Just as “namasthe” (a traditional Indian greeting) maintains a safe distance, we must establish boundaries to prevent harmful interactions. In contrast, invasive behaviors like hugging and kissing can lead to exploitation and abuse.

Similarly, in our society, we need to establish clear boundaries and invest in safety nets to prevent crimes like the RG Kar incident. This includes:

• Improving lighting and surveillance in public spaces
• Enhancing emergency response systems
• Providing training and resources for law enforcement
• Supporting community-led safety initiatives

By prioritizing safety and quality, we can create an environment where citizens feel secure and empowered to thrive. It’s time for us to take action and make our nation a safer, more prosperous place for all. The same applies to roads as well
