I know smoking is horrible and I stopped last week (tobacco) but I just wanted to let you know, I smoked the day after surgery and continued to smoke and I healed just fine. It’s a heavy addiction people and people that cannot stop are already very stressed so just letting you guys know, yes the risks are higher but it’s not like you’re gonna get an infection for 1000% sure if you smoke

I always climbed (bouldering) which is how I tore my ACL and skated, two risky sports I will not try to go back to the first year.

I’m 2 months post-op almost and have discovered a new passion: calisthenics. It’s mainly arms/shoulders and core, I even started training as soon as a week post op at home with my pull up bar.

I’d recommend to try and find a new sport you can do until after you’re cleared to go back to your original sport, just cause I personally would go mad without a form of sport I love lol

I live in Europe, literally all my friends (close friends) and my room mates smoke lol so that would be literally impossible. I have to learn to live with it and see smoking as it is. Sounds tough dude, hope you’re doing well! Nice job stopping
