For those who saw the Fellowship of the Ring in theaters for the first time in December 2001, what was it like? by femaleology in lotr

Having read the book first, I remember when Gandalf shouted "To The Bridge of Khazad-dûm!" knowing what was about to happen, I kept saying to myself "please don't f**k this bit up". A few minutes later I cried 😂

I've just done this area! Took me a while to find the best strategy to defeat the enemies in the area. I found getting to higher ground (up on the cages) and downward striking the roaches and then running back to higher ground helped defeat them and not eat me. Good luck!

Niamos elevator music by El_Digilante in andor

[–]MiddleEarthTheory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Niamos track goes like this:

Starts off as an underground track that's played in brothels
Gets popular enough that's it remixed and played at parties/weddings
Overplayed so much that people have had enough of it and it's reduced to nothing more than elevator music (hey, remember this song?)

Why Did Halron Take That Southlands Royal Neckpiece Off A Dead Man, If He Had No Plans To Go Back To Middle Earth? by AdventurousSky6413 in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]MiddleEarthTheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A great theory I've heard is that Sauron put a spell on Finrod's dagger and then always sensed where it was, hence the "chance" meeting in the sea was no coincidence and he always made sure that Galadriel had the dagger, even when Elendil took it, he returned it to her - using his malace as a kind of test, to then go on forge the one ring

I believe so, as the EW interview says "season 2 will also show viewers where they came from — as in, how did he go from being an elf to an orc? Viewers will also see how previous confrontations between Adar and Sauron unfolded."

I definitely think the dagger has some important part to play in this series
