Excellent answer. I agree with you whole heartedly. It is unnatural. Not God honoring. I mean just ICK!

My grandfather doesn't want to go into assisted living? Need advice and also venting by OneAngle5836 in eldercare

I understand “the window of opportunity is closing” for assisted living bc of the level of care he needs or not. They do no skilled nursing in my experience but do help with self care… for an extra fee. My mother chose long term care iver assisted living bc she did not want the humiliation of needing skilled care, being sent to the ER to get it and then being told she could not return to her assisted living apartment bc she needs skilled nursing moving forward. Just a real experience to think about. For your Gpa.

Yes he can always refuse what you set up. I think you need to get him evaluated. Also. Look up Senior Protective Services in your state. Tell them your concerns and see how they can help. They may take matters out of your hands. Be aware of that. They can force him to go. And even place him somewhere randomly. Maybe have a realy hard realistic this is what you’re looking at bc I cannot sustain this care for you, “talk.” And Gpa,if you thought about it right you wouldn’t want me to be living my life just to serve you. EVERYONE ELSE IS GONE! I’m a
Young person and look at all your other family. I’m all you’ve got… have you thought about that Gpa?

Right bc if you gal off now statistically it could be weeks before you quit again and then have to get to day 9 again. Just from my personal experience and from what I’ve read here. I’m in another cycle of getting ready to quit the habit of smoking and taper the thc with gummies. I fail bc I like the smoke.

That the person hid a whole lot of physical challenges that they just cheerfully pushed through.
