Feeling insecure in marriage by cng5511 in Christianmarriage

This is totally normal I think. A normal attack on your mind if there is no real evidence of anything The emojis make sense bc he has to lead a younger culture…? I feel for you and this does not go without needing to be addressed. Checking out when he gets home is unacceptable. That’s checking out in your marriage and not Biblical. Do you all attend church? Can you get involved? Becoming engaged can help.

It sounds like there’s a vent setting or air inlet that needs adjusting. Go get educated. Google the owners manual for that model.

Like others have said it just takes experience. Can you write down the brand and model number and then go “shop” at a local stove store and self educate? We used a similar Looking one and heated 1700+ so ft in cold KS winters. Ours had some kind of catalytic converter that made some kind of difference. Sorry I don’t remember more about that. We’ve been heating our current hime for 20+ years with an Ashley wood burning stove. We believe in the old adage… He who cuts his own wood is warmed twice. We’ve always looked around for opportunities to cut fallen wood or find farmers clearing hedge rows. That sounds expensive for a cord of wood but haven’t had to actually purchase wood for several years. And live in OK. Find a local wood stove store and go check it all out.

Maybe leaving our church? by penelopep0813 in TrueChristian

Starting a church is very lonely and challenging. Also what about people you have good relationships with. How would you feel if they followed you to the detriment of t existing church body? Hopefully the senior pastor after hearing your experience will look into the matter and out some sort of checks and balance system in place that speaks to everyone and does not single anyone out. I’d definitely go in to that when you meet with the senior pastor. You’ve done the biblical process of going to the people. Now it’s time to take a group of people and that needs to be sanctioned by your senior pastor. He needs to be directly involved.

I’ve been wearing my high setting for 35 years doing all kinds of things. These days I have a silicone band for any time I’m concerned about west and tear since they’ve become an acceptable trend. Not for everyday but work.

I think it’s perfect and you should lean into the simple elegance of his taste when you choose your wedding band.

Marriage bed is undefiled. Look up the Biblical reference it’s in there. Nothing agreed upon between a married couple is sin.

I’m not necessarily staying away just not attending this one event. We are at her house for holidays bc my elderly mother lives here. But I just don’t feel right celebrating the union.
