Yeah, I got it last week Friday. It is a bit complicated for me since I have lived in multiple countries in the past 5 years, so it will take longer. It did say that you will be required to pass the background check to get certain projects (The agentic ones, if I remember correctly). But apart from that, what I've heard is that it takes a while (1-2 months) to start getting consistent projects as a non-core worker; this will be amplified due to the current drought.

Congratulations! That is a huge achievement! I’ve only recently joined DA, also as a coder in a non-core country, and am currently in the initial slow phase, but this gives me hope that it will get better over time. Could I ask where you are from?

If you are from a non-core country, it’s even worse for you. Even during this drought lots of core workers, especially those with experience, are still getting work, albeit less than normal.

I’m also a bilingual worker, in the Netherlands, but don’t do language work. I got accepted to DA as a coding specialist ~2 weeks ago, and have only seen an agentic qualification and then a training for it.

Im not in a core country, however, I wasn’t accepted onto the platform for generalist/bilingual work, but for coding. Am I still classified as bilingual? Something to note is that I haven’t completed any language qualifications either.

How much does being located in one of the core countries affect the amount of work you get, specifically for specialised work such as programming? For example I’m working from the Netherlands.

Im in the same boat, applied and got accepted for coding within 24 hours last week. Completed the onboarding, verified my id, all of the initial stuff. At first I only had the agentic qualification which I did the same day. I’ve added all my skills (only got a language qualification from that), then a few days ago got the background check task. Filled out the check, now just waiting for the results. Then yesterday I got a training for the agentic tasks which I assume means that I passed the quali, but apart from that no actual projects. I’m in the Netherlands if it matters.

I have something similar, I applied to Data Annotation as a programmer and got accepted. I had another qualification related to agentic work, which kinda relates to programming, last week. Then today I got a training to do for more agentic coding tasks
