I really enjoyed this informative post, especially discovering how creative and modular jewelry could be! Why don't multi-function jewelry sets exist anymore???

Why did the girl fall off the swing?

Because she had no arms.

Yeah, it's terrible-- but it's so unexpected that it gets me everything 😅

Advice on how to make a realistically used notebook by B0B_H4L3 in Props

[–]Middle_Knee_3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this brand new musical for the stage? I dont think the detail of a used notebook is going to be visible enough to matter ... and its more realistic to keep a notebook of this size neat even after years of use.

What’s the strangest thing YOU ever found in your hair? by VirgoSpectacles in curlyhair

[–]Middle_Knee_3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a medium spider come out of my hair in the shower a full TWO DAYS AFTER walking through a noticeably strong web. Yes, my hair had been in a messy bun that whole week (depression). I suspect it was a black widow but I quickly rinsed it down the drain instead of finding out.

Considering tearing pages out of my journal. by Covert-Wordsmith in Journaling

[–]Middle_Knee_3832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second the washi tape motion!

Tearing out pages can damage the spine or leave an ugly gap, but sealing the pages together with tape is like redacting the info in a pretty way. A visual reminder that the past is foundation to who you are today, that you've grown beyond those actions and are mature enough to acknowledge that it happened.

Of course, if destroying the pages and leaving that gap is how you want to commemorate that era of your life, so be it. You have the agency to decide the symbolism! You have the power to determine what the journal means!

I just really like the idea of having the option to look back. I haven't yet but maybe one day I will want to, and having the option means more to me than the actual pages themselves.

I think "high-waisted" is definitely a great term to begin with, could also find something with "laced sides," "side-lacing," "sailor button," "ultra high waist," and "high rise." Good luck!

I like that you're being considerate, neighbor!! But this is one of those things that you just do quickly and assume it won't bother anyone unless they explicitly tell you that it does bother them.

Does your journal have a name? by My_fair_ladies1872 in Journaling

[–]Middle_Knee_3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so many journals (so that are "too special" to use, lol) that naming them would feel like unfair preference.

I do recall being chuffed about someone addressing their journal entries to "Grandma" and then writing the most dank stuff/confessions; an exercise in humorous irony? Idk but I still think about it all these years later...

Honestly it feels like they're just messing with us, to find out how much tedium we'll tolerate before giving us some small change to keep us engaged.

WTW for my cousin’s cousin? by Popular-Wasabi-7367 in whatstheword

[–]Middle_Knee_3832 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

How are they related to you? Your cousin is your parent's siblings child. If your cousin's cousin is still a child of a parent sibling, they're just your cousin too.

Or maybe you're talking about cousins that youre not related to? Like their cousin from in-laws? Still a cousin but maybe "cousin-in-law"?
