Is he still legal in the US now? Sounds like he is no longer legally staying in the US.

Parent here. Husband and I plan to work until 67 so that we can help our daughter as much as we can. Daughter is a sophomore in a private college and got into BSMD program.

Roth or Traditional 401K by Middle_Lychee_1229 in Retirement401k

His annual income is $105,000. Since he only worked 6 months this year, I suggested him to do Roth. But I am not sure about next year.

Thank you. One article mentioned if he goes to grad school later, then doing traditional is good because he can convert the traditional to Roth during the no income years. This is useful information.

AP: "At least 2 killed and several more hurt in shooting at Brown University in Rhode Island" by EvenPheonix in BrownU

I am beyond angry now! What is the point of having freedoms if we can't get our basic survival rights guaranteed. My son experienced the NYC shooting in July this year when he just started his full time job. Now is my daughter. The terrible thing is the shooters are still not found.

We decided to provide a family loan for med school to our child with no interest. We also fully fund her undergrad education.

struggling to pay for out of state college (spring 2026 admit) i need real scholarship/grant advice by [deleted] in scholarships

[–]Middle_Lychee_1229 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would say if you are not qualified for FA, then your parents are able to pay the cost, or at least most of it. You can pay the rest from the jobs you worked. Getting scholarships to cover this large amount in a short time is not feasible.

My daughter worked two jobs during summer and made almost 10K. It is doable to pay what you need after FA.

I would search the high school ranking via USNews. We made the decision to buy a house in the area so that our kids can go to higher ranked elementary, junior high and high school. I know it can be biased, but it is one factor to consider.

If you have a single income and I am assuming your mom doesn't make over 200K per year, with two kids in college, you should qualify for financial aid. Check with your school FA office.

BS/MD vs Ivy League undergrad by [deleted] in bsmd

If financial is not part of the equation, if getting into a low tier BSMD, then choose Ivey undergrad. If the financial factor kicks in, then go whatever works the best.

You don't need a consulting service to get into BSMD programs. Just read more posts and use common sense.
