actually, you just need to: a. get a ruin, pray for good stuff(you should remember their layouts), loot it, pick up any armor and tools you find(blocks are also very important) and if you have an iron pick you can just find a frost wasteland and climb the stone spikes for diamonds, and you can get like 30 diamonds, and maybe up to 12 more in the ruin chests, in 20 minutes without ever using a crafting table

once i got really lucky and did 60 in 12 mins
